That was pretty fun. I never really got a sense of travelling back in time, since neither side seemed to be more dilapidated than the other, and I'm a little disappointed that changes in one didnt seem to affect the other (besides the turrets), but having one portal in the past while one was in the future was cool.
Maybe the past and present looking to similar was a deliberate decision, to make it more confusing, but it just wasn't really. I think more interplay between both halves would have made it more interesting. Good map though, thanks

Doubt this is intended, but it got the job done:

Great map, enjoyed the puzzles. The time portal was there but unlike previous time portal maps, there wasn't much difference on either side. Might have been better if there was some damaged theme or something looking aged on the other side.
Still a great map and thanks for creating.

sicklebrick i meant for the cube to obtained with the tractor beam and the present companion cube to be unattainable i thought of adding destroyed theme to the puzzle, i am still learning hammer, maybe i will add an update

as far as difficulty easy?

how about destroying the companion cub sniff sniff to open a door what that a good concept?

for those of you curious how i did the time portal i used four linked portal doors(two for each time period so you can enter from either side) and of course two rooms present and other time period

Heh, maybe just use dirty textures for the past... that's all I'd bother with =)

On my system, the map restarts at the end. I'm no expert, but I think that means you're usng the PTI elevator instances? Anyway, just change the transition to a disconnect.

I think I ended up getting more cubes than intended, and certainly more cubes than needed to solve it. The only cube I didn't get was the one behind the fizzler in the first room.

Lookswise, the time travel theme has been done much better. Puzzlewise, it's one of the better ones. There are some exploits that need to be fixed, so I give it 3/5.

KennKong, i did use PTI to make the geometry of the map, then i used hammer to make what PTI couldn't the time portal(it was easier to make the rooms identical in measurements)

anyway i did follow some of your suggestions so feel free to redownload the map

How do I installi it? I have the bsp file in the maps folder, but what about the vmf? In the maps as well?

Zoske put the bsp file in portal2/maps and the

vmf file in sdkcontent/maps (this file is for hammer editor, it is not required to run the map in game)
