Description
"Positive Discouragement" is a small map pack that I'm working on. I decided that I might as well upload this to TWP, instead of having it sit around on my computer until I finish all the maps, but I'm not going to upload it to the Workshop until they're all done. So for now, you'll have to do it the old-fashioned way! ====== Everyone wrote:"Hey! What's going on? Where's Chamber 02?" This chamber was going to be the second chamber, and it involved light bridges. I then realized that I'd made a map-breaking mistake in the design and it was impossible to solve. Then I figured something out, but it made the map more difficult. Moreso than the "third" chamber. So this chamber took it's place. The name is still disc_02, and the new Chamber 2 will be disc_03. This may cause a bit of confusion. Sorry about that.

Really good one!
But I still didn't manage to finish it completely!:D I was recording a bling playthrough but I've been in the last laser puzzle for half an a hour without solving >.< Is it intended to tilt the reflector cube with the radio to hit the catcher no.3? even in that case, I can't hit the 2 laser_relays plus the catcher with only 2 cubes
I guess today is not my day!
There is a missing model dude:
Nice little puzzle in well detailed environment. Not that hard as Jose believe.
P.S. No missing model for me.
Really well made puzzle. Great looks except for that missing model. Pretty easy but the last move was pretty clever.
Jose you are overcomplicating it.
Feel like an idiot...had the laser puzzle solved right away but couldn't figure out how to get to the exit and then activate the laser solution. I solved it a second way as well, but would need a 3rd cube... After reading the comments, it dawned on me that the solution was probably much easier than I was making it...it was - only took about 2 minutes to reset everything and make the fling...
Thanks for creating..
I also had the 'big blue ERROR'.
OK, done. My God, I feel so stupid!
I just woke up this morning, play it again and done it in less than 10 minutes
Awesome map srs bsnss! Apart from packing that model, aren't you interested in having your maps in the workshop too? If you wouldn't know how to, don't hesitate to ask, ok?
Btw, getting the 2nd cube can be done in many ways. Some are really good, but it can be done really easily and don't know if your intention was to make us do it a bit harder; I'm showing the easiest way in the video...

Thanks for the playthrough, jose!
In regards to the Workshop, it's not really a matter of not knowing how to, I just want to release all these maps at once. My view is that this will cause more poularity
And the solution you used for getting the second cube is correct. You can angle it like that, but you can also position it down in the lower part. Either way is fine, really.
HOWEVER, what you did for the final step wasn't the intended solution (the fling, that is). I was aware of that route, but unfortunately there wasn't anything I could do about it without requiring a large design change.
I'm guessing it's that brief moment when I do a switch between portaling the laser to relay 1 and 2, and laser collector 3. I positioned a cube on the upper level, and one on the lower level. After getting to the door, I portaled the laser to the upper level activating the 2 relays. I had my back against the door and switched portals so laser hits the collector on the lower level. In that instant, the door momentarily opened. I tried backing up through the door, but it closed too quick. Was that what I was supposed to do?
@Skyferret I'm quite certain that's not the intended solution.
I solved it like this:
y0x0BwvdBuw
It might not be the intended solution either but I'm pretty sure it is.
@Shakky: Something Gotta Give? Well obviously something did,
a simple laser feedback through the portal. Thanks for sharing your video.

Yep, that's it!
That was great - such a cool and unique solution.
I can see how Josepezdj got stuck - I did also . . and likewise it suddenly dawned on me that there just "might be something" in the little alcove next to the exit.
Very nice minimalistic map !! Sort of like a "devious Mevious" map, which is saying a lot.

Thank you
I actually try to make my maps as similar in style as I can with Mevious maps, so I'm glad you made that comparison
Great short map!
I solved the end like josepezdj did. It would be nice if you blocked that solution since the intended one is far more beautiful
Thanks for mapping, 5/5.
Hah,cheers! I love those maps where you're blasting through it, thinking it's quite easy... and then the door... Well played.
Great map though, nicely designed, great visuals, and it's spacious without being too big. Thanks!

OK, the new version is up! I used the OnCatapulted output and some func_noportal_volumes to prevent the unintended solution, so now the intended one should be the only possible way
