Aperture Laboratories have hired a postmodern artist to increase the visual appealingness of their testchambers. After he had four attacks of selfpity on the first day, Aperture has discovered that computers do the same work 13% faster and 128% more aestheticful. -------- Very first own Portal map. Comments and Critism are requested. EDIT: I have edited the map now. People complained that it was too bright for them and the doors caused problems. The light was changed and the doors look really bad right now but should work. I will try to fix this tomorrow.

My contest entry. OK so yeah the name may not be all that great, but it's based off the fact that this test revolves around the Hardlight bridges as shield walls. This Test Chamber is in the Overgrown style. The player has one Portal at the start and uses Momentum for the most of the test chamber. This test chamber involves: Momentum Laser Walls Fizzlers Hard Light Bridges An Excursion Funnel Thermal Discouragement Beams Ariel Faith Plates Please tell me of any glitches you may see while playing this map, and good luck to everyone in the contest! V2: I moved the Faith Plate to a better out of the way location. Added indicators for the large hard light wall in the second room. V3 (About F***king time right?) : After Peer Review the game always made the player start with a dual Portal Device, now that's fixed! I made the chamber have better lighting I redid EVERY piece of lighting in the chamber because when I made this map it just looked a bit off from what I wanted. I added some minor details to some areas such as tide lines to the hazard liquid in the aerial faithplate room and updated the water texture as well. I updated the environment to give the map that final touch it needed. env_tone_maps make the map very very very pretty lookin' if I do say so myself. This is my first released map as well as my entry for the contest. I hope you like it. It is a single puzzle consisted of 3 smaller sub-puzzles, and features: - Light Bridges - Turrets - Funnels - Bounce Gel - Other hazards and puzzle elements Let me know what you think, and please report any bugs or problems. Note: I might have overused "hint" signs on the floors, let me know if I made it a bit too easy. Note 2: As required, the source VMF file is included. Notice that it requires (and includes) two custom instances. Updated to version 1.7: -Added grates to the washing stations -Added music -Added exit sign and made room numbering more obvious -Fixed a shortcut Updated to version 1.6: -It's now impossible to pass Room 2 by standing on the cube. -The exit was lowered so it's easier to reach. Updated to version 1.5: -Invisible fizzler removed from the entrance to Room 1. Grate added instead. -Two "cube washing" stations added. -Visible timer added to Room 2 -Fizzler in Room 1 made taller. -The jumps in Room 3 made easier. -Button added to the cube dropper in Room 3 -Many aesthetic changes -Other minor changes

(NEW: BSP File Now Included) Let me know if this map doesn't work. And please rate this also so I get an idea of what you think. This is my very first map and it includes turrets. This map has a lot of turrets hiding in areas but not impossible to spot. This map also has a Hard Light Bridge, Thermal Discouragement Beam, Thermal Redirection Cube, and the Excursion Funnel. BTW you can crouch under the Hard Light Bridge. There are also a few hint pictures on walls in the map that that give you an idea what you can do. Have fun!

This is a fun map, designed to let you enjoy all of the exciting features of Portal 2 in one place! There's no challenge or goal just lots to keep you busy. I will be releasing a Co-op version of the map soon. All feedback is welcome!

Small and simple singleplayer map with simple puzzle made on one night. EDIT: Some updates made. Fizzler now fizzles the cube when reactivated, so it doesn't just disappear magically.

My first Portal 2 map that I have been making, so now it is entered here. Compressed as a 7z archive. This is a small single player test chamber using controllable fizzlers like the one fizzler that needed to be turned off in the coop calibration course. However controlling the fizzlers might be a little more difficult in this map. This map attempts to emulate the clean aperture look similar to the triple laser single player map. (meaning not a speck of damage or debris anywhere) Bonus instances used in and included with the map download: Cube dropper which lets you set the cube. Mashed together clean departure elevator exit base that works with both act 2 and act 4 elevator logic. This is to create the same type of elevator exit as the triple laser puzzle (clean elevator, but goes down like act 2 instead of up like act 4) Custom level transition logic that does not use sp_transition_list.nut. The think function of this script is the offending function that always gives you the potatogun. So I just ditched the script. It is only used for managing the level order of the SP campaign and isn't useful for small custom maps. Instead all the things you may want to configure are simply parameters for this instance. This should work with existing stock elevator logic. This also forces the display of a chapter title and exit text (if you don't want it delete it yourself) Final note: I think I made the light map resolution unnecessarily high.
