Propulsion Panel
Hey! So this is my second map, and I really dont want to work on this map any more. Its good, I assure you, with Puzzles featuring DIversity Vents and Propulsion Gel, this map is not a bad one. It is, however, a little rough around the edges, so in the comments please tell me how i can improve this map later. Set during clean aperture this map consists of two test chambers.
[SP] Powerup
A sweet, short map, using only one portal and a destructed theme, you play through the map. However, during this map, something happens: it appears as if GLaDOS has been awakened. But by whom? Info: One bug, check readme for details Includes a snazzy fizzler effect with cubes. Put a cube in and find out! Includes only one chamber. Tractor beams, buttons, etc. One button doesn't do anything. (Demo 2 for Departure Mappack[name pending])
NYS-5 Hard Mode
A reworking of NYS-5. Upping the difficulty, changing the puzzles and bringing up the quality. Overwrite NYS-5 Series with this in the meantime until all maps have been converted. 1 of 5 maps hard-mode ready.
[sp] SB_Faith in Rotation
Do you have the necessary belief to crack this little excursional outing? Do you possess the absolute audacity, to carry out this experiment in a clean testing environment? Do you maintain the belief that everything is possible once you put your mind to it? Then I hope you have faith in rotation, my friend. My Mapping entry for the summer mapping initiative was to take Valve's mechanics, such as the faith plate, and the excursion funnel - and make them move. As you can seem the excursion funnel in this level does't actually move, but I hope I have captured the idea enough Have fun, and let me know if you find any last minute bugs Special thanks to: Rybec, for fixing my rotating faithplate, Steve, for playtesting and suggesting fixes for several designs in the second chamber, And all my beta testers: Willbyshan, Tobbsdasock, Galamore, Stumpy_2000, Jimjam, Hriscay, TheZamboniKnight & Hydro14 Oh, and special thanks to me. You know, for making it. This has been Kdapro, under the alias of Shiny Box. Peace out.
sp_desertedchamber1
Chell finds a box tube to travel along, as the elevator has broken down. Hope you enjoy. Its a small map, and is my first underground level. If there is any bugs or suggestions, please let me know.

This is the first map I've made for portal 2, (but not the first map in hammer by a long shot.) I'm still pretty amature, so be kind! I used my own style of recessed lighting instead of that featured in the game. I think it looks nice. Anyhow, this map is short but fun; shouldn't take you more than 5-10 minutes. Have fun!

This map introduces something new to the Portal 2 mechanics... Rotating platforms! I know it sounds lame, but stick with me on this one. You might recognize them from Soptipp1's map-pack "Testing Is The Future". Now, I didn't steal the idea, I asked the guy for permission to use them, but he haven't responded yet. Luckily he doesn't own the concept, so I can release this anyways... This is my first serious map made for Portal 2. It's actually a work in progress, but I think it good enough to be qualified as a full single player map. Also, this map is easy, really easy. Think of it as a rediscovering of the faith plate. If this puzzle was a part of a single player campaign it would be the first puzzle with the faith plate involved. The map is relatively short but divided into 4 sections with a rotating faith plate in the middle. The player has to complete each area in order to get a cube. The cube is later used as a way to rotate the faith plate, taking the player to the next area. It's sounds complicated, but I can assure you that it's a piece of cake... Get it? Piece of cake? Ahh, never mind... Now, if you're willing to test this map and provide some feedback I'd be happy if you could read the "Known Issues" down below. There is a couple of things that I already know needs to be changed. Version 1.1 - Removed dot-signs in second room - Fixed the hovering panel - Removed panel that made it possible to jump directly to the third puzzle - Fixed indicator lights that wasn't lit when powered - Added sound to the startup of the testchamber sign - Removed a panel frame that didn't belong to the map - Made some minor performance improvements Version 1.2 - Fixed it so that the first cube will now respawn if destroyed - Modified the sealing in the second room to look a bit better - Fixed some flickering textures in the room before the actual chamber Version 1.3 - Made the first hallway longer to prevent the player of slamming into the wall when flinging - Made some textures look better - Removed the potato from the portalgun - Added more details to the sign-room - Added some destuctive envidonment to the second room Version 1.3.1 - Fixed it so that the map actually works (thanks SkyFerret!) Also, break this map! If you can find any glitches or bugs report them to me. It helps me out a lot. KNOWN ISSUES!
- The lighting is bad with some textures that aren't properly lit - The first room isn't as detailed as the rest of the map - The seconds rooms floor does not match the floor in the main room
Walktrhough (you probably wont need it though)
FNPwv_M5zCM
Anyways, thanks for playing and try to have fun!
sp_test 2.0 portal 11
this is my second map. Thinking, cool fun. Thanks for playing
Fizzler Trap
My first Portal 2 map that I have been making, so now it is entered here. Compressed as a 7z archive. This is a small single player test chamber using controllable fizzlers like the one fizzler that needed to be turned off in the coop calibration course. However controlling the fizzlers might be a little more difficult in this map. This map attempts to emulate the clean aperture look similar to the triple laser single player map. (meaning not a speck of damage or debris anywhere) Bonus instances used in and included with the map download: Cube dropper which lets you set the cube. Mashed together clean departure elevator exit base that works with both act 2 and act 4 elevator logic. This is to create the same type of elevator exit as the triple laser puzzle (clean elevator, but goes down like act 2 instead of up like act 4) Custom level transition logic that does not use sp_transition_list.nut. The think function of this script is the offending function that always gives you the potatogun. So I just ditched the script. It is only used for managing the level order of the SP campaign and isn't useful for small custom maps. Instead all the things you may want to configure are simply parameters for this instance. This should work with existing stock elevator logic. This also forces the display of a chapter title and exit text (if you don't want it delete it yourself) Final note: I think I made the light map resolution unnecessarily high. If you read down to there, Thanks.
