I've never really managed to understand these "Engima" maps.
I guess that's why it's called 'Enigma'
@RectorRocks
Looking good, although I'd use warm lights, not cool ones.

Warm lights are mainly used for 1950's maps.
They were used in all underground maps, except the final conversion gel test (which was something different so I don't think it really counts), IIRC. So I'd say they fit the time.

The conversion gel map is an early 1980s map when aperture still used enrichment spheres. They were smaller, so they didn't turn it into a giant water pool.

Those walls are looking a little boring.
I love the lighting; the projected texture is superb, but I agree that the walls could use a bit more texture variation.
Keep up the good work!

Yeah, it was still part of old aperture, but it's pretty much a completely different design to the other ten or so underground maps, so really it's an outlier. Plus his map isn't 1980's styled anyway, so I think the warm lighting'd fit better.
But to each his own, I guess. He can stick with cool if he likes.
What a spread of creativity! Cheers! A map I've been scratching and now designing it!
There's a story: the player finds the ruins of Aperture "in the ruins of civilization" and goes in.
That's all I'm going to tell for now, I have lots more planned and safely noted on a notebook

(this area is not dark as it looks, the light is actually flickering)

And a bonus: the areas that are not going to be accessed by the players. I've detailed it and I don't know why, as no one is going to see it, maybe I can use these entrances for another project.

Aww, thanks! I plan on doing a post-mortem once the series is over.

The map looks much more abandoned now.
Will you also be changing the crosshairs?

Not really a fan of those particle thingies coming out the side of the portalgun, but hoe lee sheet that model is pretty.
I personally love it. It makes it look like the gun can't contain all the energy it creates, so it just lets it pollute the air. Classice Aperture.
I would pay for this mod by just what I've seen so far. Keep up this amazing work.
