I started playing Portal about 3 Months ago and I really love the game. Especially Portal2 Coop-Maps, why I registered here to leave comments for the maps I really enjoyed.
I want to try mapping in the near future too, so this site helps a lot.
I found this site by searching for custom maps and ended up playing some great ones, both single and co-op. Then I found this site again when I decided it was time to make my own maps. I've watched a ton of YouTube tutorials and did my share of reading.
But I'm not new to map making! I've made maps with pretty much any game that let me. Both Starcrafts, Warcrafts II and III, Stunts... as far back as the Incredible Machine (if anyone here knows that game).
Can't wait to release my first finished Portal 2 map! If I get that far, it's gonna be quality.
Just to say hi! ![]()
I've been a big fan of the Portal series since the source version first came out and I'm a big fan of Portal 2's co-op maps as I play them with my 9yo son.
Finally thought I'd go looking for some community maps and noticed your site here. I've checked out a few sites and so far this appears to be the best Portal mapping site that I've seen around so credit to everyone here!
Having the Community Roundup, with comments, is very handy as it allows me to easilly find the best maps out there(unlike other sites) so cheers for that. I've pulled down a bunch of maps already and look forward to checking them out soon!
I've done a shameless plug for ya on our UT3 mapping site so hopefully it'll bring some extra folk your way!
UoF Portal thread
Apart from the above I'm a wannabe UT3 mapper and have been mapping for a few years now and I'm eager for Valve to release the simplified Portal 2 mapping editor so I can have a dabble without having to learn Hammer. (or at least only require limited knowledge so I can tweak anything I attempt)
If ya have UT3 and are interested in my work you can find it here.

Welcome to the site and thanks for the plug, we appreciate all the traffic we can get.

I am here because I love the portal series and I just wanted to give ALOT of thanks to all of you who are creating these wonderful maps and sharing them with the public. You have all made the short single/coop player portions of this game 10x's longer/entertaining! Love you all!

Hello London from London. Very original name.
Coming in this tread to drop a "hello"; played portal 2 since its coming out. Played Portal 1 & Prelude later on to catch up on the game. Currently playing solo and coop maps with my partner, enjoying the awesome maps around here
Oh, and those smileys are awesome
See you around !
I'm very well versed in Radiant (Quake/COD) but I'm still learning Hammer and way behind on that (I miss curves SO BAD!!!).
Anyway I'm a few weeks from my initial beta release of my first Hammer map, so I thought I should sign up and say HI!
