portholes, life rings, fishing poles, and mounted fish.
to be fair, the only asset in portal 2 that fits that is the borealis life ring...
though i guess some good brush-work can make convincing port-holes.
dont forget exposed piping and function over form. everything on a ship must look like it serves some direct purpose to the overall function.. there's nothing extrenuous.
Fish? Do you realy think Aperture would fish when they have a ship built specificly for a huge project? Hahah, I see what you mean though.
My only point is that it's quite hard to make a map feel like it's on a ship. And details are that what can make your map a ship. Details like small corridors: space is really expensive!!! Toilets near the crew quarters. Nails and bolts. Doors in the corridors to seal of in case of fire or water. Emergency exit signs, industrial lighting in the corridors. That kind of things, and I think it will be quite hard to map that!
Could you sent a link to the overlays then I might be able to see what the problem is!
But now im into it again!
I also got much more in to it, ive reasearched ships, what kinda debris I should have, learned more about the light settings and just got more professional than what I was !
