[SP] Antiquated Aperture
It's not easy, but it's not incredibly hard, you just need to pay attention and remember what you've passed.
Implements Conversion and Repulsion gel in fun ways.

(yes I know that 1990 is not canon, but there's a rattman den in this map and that's not canon either, so... :V)

Purple Gel Tubes
Not that it's used but they're there.
awesome job!
I'm pretty sure I didn't solve the second room properly, but it was a very good level design; awesome puzzles and it was pretty not-broken for a conversion level! In the final puzzle I didn't need the second paint dropper because: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/37801279/2012-04-25_00002.jpg (I won't embed it here because it's pretty hard to spot as it is, making it smaller to fit would make it worse
)
Can't wait for a new map
Awesome! 5/5

Awesome map! I was so excited when I figured out that there was Conversion Gel in this chamber. However I believe that I broke the chamber in many different ways as some of what I was doing didn't seem to fit into the puzzle all to well. I hope to have my blind run recording uploaded sometime soon and I will post it ASAP. However it was an excellent map to play I loved the style of it.Purple Gel Tubes

I look forward to seeing it, because this map was playtested quite extensively (as the credits show) to blot out every major breaking issue. You can make a mess, yes, but not (as far as I know) break puzzles.

Oh that! I knew I forgot something to fix...that's the only major problem in the map, I hope.
Well I can't post the video now because my internet connection is REALLY slow, but I can show some pictures:
||The first thing I found is that I was able to get Conversion Gel here:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/RubyCarbun ... 3640988026
Which made it possible to put Conversion Gel here:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/RubyCarbun ... 640986257/?
Which made it possible to put Conversion Gel on the floor and fling here:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/RubyCarbun ... 640987264/?
I think some Repulsion Gel was needed there so that didn't seem to add up.
Second I wasn't able to find a suitable use for the switch that activated the panel here:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/RubyCarbun ... 640990719/?
because I was able to use Conversion Gel like like this to reach the platform:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/RubyCarbun ... 640989704/?
http://steamcommunity.com/id/RubyCarbun ... 640988847/?
Finally, I didn't even realize that there was a Conversion Gel tube behind the moving wall panel(that's my bad I never really looked behind it thoroughly) so I was able to coat the floor with Repulsion Gel to bounce the cubes behind the fizzlers and then just press the buttons like this:
Floor Coated with Gel:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/RubyCarbun ... 640992995/?
Cube bounced behind fizzler:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/RubyCarbun ... 640991657/?
That's it, It didn't seem to me that any of these solutions were intended so I thought it was worth mentioning.
OH! I just found something else!:

That seems bad too.||
Sorry to have broken it, really I am.
Love playing every minute
Heaps of detail and well put together.
One of my favorites 5/5
as already mentioned, the second white gel dropper isn't needed;
the water isn't really necessary, but it is alright, that it is there if somebody accidentally paints his cube blue;
the blue gel is hardly needed; if the other end of the walkway (in the middle of the map where you have to jump over to get to the last chamber) would only be a bit nearer, the blue gel wouldn't be needed at all.
Just a few things that aren't bad at all, but I thought I could mention them here.

Oh, and I liked the "secret room". Nice touch.
A good map that is worth playing it.
Edit: I think, I did almost the same things as Ruby did. But I used conversion gel in the last chamber to fling the second cube behing the fizzler.
FEEDBACK!
- I guess that you're supposed to use the repulsion gel to bounce up on the sides in the second puzzle, but it's was easier to use the conversion gel and just jump through a portal up top and place another one mid air. Not sure if I did that one right
- In the second puzzle I got to the second button without using repulsion gel. I used conversion gel and put a stream below the angeled panel by the button. Since the blobs are kind of random they eventually converted the panel into a "portaleble" surface ^^
- Since I'm an idiot it took me about 10 minutes to understand that you needed the first cube from the previous puzzle in the last chamber xD
It was a really good map. The aesthetics were nice and the puzzle elements were easy enough. Even I could solve them. I know it's hard making maps with the conversion gel, but this one was pretty well done
I didn't notice the blue paint for an embarassingly long time, but even after eventually finishing it I was messing around for at least another solid hour! It looks good, plays well, there's lots of attention to detail, and it's very well laid out.. deffinitely a 5/5, thanks!
In the end I decided to try and find the most ninja solution I could :p Here's what I have so far!

I always love Conversion Gel, and it didn't break the puzzle too quickly. Nice job. And ofcourse I love the Rattman's Den, is that a custom texture? Never did see that before.
I did find one bug I don't think anyone mentioned, though. Upon moving through the first door, directly after the arrival elevator, you can trap yourself by moving back, closing the door in front of you. Also, I think some fog, although not needed, would really make the map look even better. Not to make things so you can't see anything on the other side of the map, but as a nice finishing touch. But that's just my opinion.
Anyway, looking forward to more of your mapping.
I had an enormous amount of fun using the intended solution (at least, i think it was?) but man, if that's not proof that conversion gel will break the shit out of your levels O_o
still... 5/5 from me
