As for that water reflection effect - Jose is absolutly right, there is an application named caustic generator that creates a bunch of pictures that you can use to create an animated texture and apply it as overlay on your brush.

So you made an animated Overlay? Okay, thanks ^^

Looks great  I've always wondered what a night-time map would look like.
But perhaps you'd like to experiment with a bluer ambient light? The night sky looks great, but I feel the lighting betrays it a little.

If already, aperture should just teleport cubes to the ground instead of into the droppers, but nooo.....
They have all the quantum tunneling devices, (Portals, sendificators...) but, they use bulky tubes.

Well, you can move a tube around when you're rebuilding a test chamber, but portals fizzle if moved. They'd need to keep restarting the portal.

They didn't fizzle when you had to cut pipes leading to that huge neurotoxin tube in Portal 2

True, but try it in any other map and it won't work. I was stuck for a long time there because I had expected the mechanics to stay consistent.

Why are moving portals even disabled by default? When they were there they seemed to work just fine.

They only work good with lasers. Everything else won't pass through them until they stay still. Also when you go near them they'll suck you into them and push you out with high speed - in combination with their strange funnel-behaviour you can have a bad time trying to escape this endless stream of sucking-and-pushing  .

how it's possible to have cube dropper being that close to the surface =/ ?

I don't know, it is Aperture, they may have found a way to teleport cubes right to dropper without any tube.

Going back to this. Instead of having portal or random teleport system to get cube into dropper, why not having tubes above the surface leading cubes into dropper?

Why spend time building them if you have a sendificator? (Actually, your idea is really cool. I only saw that thing in one of "The Ball" portal puzzles.

Tubes adds more to visuals. If sendificator brings the cube, progress would be invisible to player. Then again seeing cube flying through the tube to the dropper is nice.

Those kind of questions could get you fired at Aperture

EDIT: josepezdj me? No, I kind of noticed that too  Technically it's not that offtopic; I was basically pointing out that the more "unreasonable" your layout is, the more Aperture-y your map will look (to an extent of course). (And the sendificator isn't even a "real" Aperture-thing, so they can't really use that instead of the tubes.) Okay, I'll shut up
