I think I managed to solve it just by looking at it, but, I guess I'll have to work harder than that if there are things I can't see.

Trust me it's not as easy as it looks yish, the solution is ingenious and design is really neat on that one:)

Yes, I second that.

A bumbleball? Cool.
I don't see any light strips, and the observation room seems too low.

I don't need too much lighting.

Is this the first full map with a bumbleball in it?

Probably. Look, don't have high expectations. It's a short easy puzzle. I was going to add another part but it was too hard for me to make it in the same map. Besides, you can't have 2 skyboxes.

I helped make it and never made any puzzles for it!

You're welcome to use this animation I made for the elevator video if you want to.

About the videos, I can't get them to show on the walls of the lift shaft. I used brainstone's instances, but when I write the parameters for what file, it won't work. Also, thanks Chickenmobile.

You can have two skyboxes, just use something like OnTrigger worldspawn AddOutput skyname [whatever sky you want]. It'll take effect instantly.

And you need to convert the video to a BIK before using it, I think the conversion tools support SWFs.

I know. I was talking about videos in general. Also, thanks for the skybox fact, but I guess I'll anyways make the second puzzle in a separate map.

Yeah! I remenber Lp sent to me that one some time ago, and I loved the solution... it's one of those that has an unexpected solution  It's a great map.

@yishbarr: dude, I didn't notice you posted those screenshots. Looking nice! but maybe a bit more work on the lighting would make it great, more lights-shadows contrast  Can't wait to play the first map with the bumbleball!

About the 2 skyboxes read this post.

And about the videos, this other

It's a bit too bright; Try to reduce the lighting, stick a projected in. And go for an overall warmer tint.

As for the solution to the map... Nope, I'm 99,99% sure you can't solve it by looking at the image...

This is my first hammer map, although I've been learning hammer for a few months now. I'd love to hear any suggestions!

Looks pretty neat  though a bit too PTI-ish?

I do like what you've done with the hole in the glass though - I'm guessing the pellet will go through there?

I planned the puzzle in the PTI, then rebuilt it in hammer so the map mostly adheres to a 128 grid, and I've used the PTI angled panel models. That might explain the similarities. The pellet does go through the hole, that's why it's glowing red with the beam.

OOooy, That's amazing, though I don't think the observation room floor texture is a good ceiling and that they don't have panels.
