Wow why do people fucking hardcore one "brand" of computer. Yes, BRAND, they are both computers, both with Intel Chips and cheap nasty boards from china. I own one of each and they both pretty much do the same shit so I dont know what the big deal is about.

Also thomars is a GIANT douche. My personal douchbaggery is in a different class altogether than his.

Sigh. Can't believe I'm quoting iWork but I agree with him.

I agree with iWork, not about thomars, but about people whining about which computer is better. It's just as ridiculous as politics.

Yes I meant about that problem. Although I still think it's disrespectful to make be derogatory towards a dead celebrity.

His greatest idea was to make americans pay 500$ for an mp3 player and feel good about it. That's what made the economy collapse, so in retrospective here's to a hero.

Alright. thomars.dm (and all of you too), keep it civil. Let's try to remember that a man has in fact died and leave this thread to paying respects. Otherwise I may will lock this thread.

Thank you Winston. I told everyone that this whole thing is getting out of hand, but nobody listens to me.

I'm not a fan of Apple and never have been. The only time I ever used an Apple computer was at Primary School, and those things were practically the same as a Windows one then.

The only reason Apple was doing so well was because Steve Jobs presented the product in a way to get people excited about it, even when it wasn't nearly as good as some other similar technology released before/at the same time. Now Steve Jobs is dead, we can expect their industry to plummet as only minorities will be excited about Apple products, and the others will actually buy other products that are better.

Not to defend the way people often argue on the internet, but there are some pretty clear-cut differences between Windows and Mac (and Linux, etc.), so I can see where they might be coming from.

However, I agree this is not the place for it.

In my opinion, he was a revolutionary. You can't look at his achievements by just comparing laptops. He redefined the mp3 market and built a product for a market that didn't even exist (iPads). Who would have known that, back in the 90s, we were imminent to being able to carry a device the size of our palm with the capabilities to surf the web.

Not to mention, app development has become one of the pinnacles of game development growth (along with Zuckerman's Facebook). To keep up with Job's achievements, you have to think like he did: outside the box.

That's not to say he didn't have problems, but he was more than just the face of his company.

Um, not your thread to ask for lock. So your still a douche.

Also I agree with FD, he revolutionised many of the markets, to the point where apples products were not even in the same catergory; there was mp3 players, and there were ipods.

Sadly missed. He had something no other CEO ever had or ever will. Presentation. Hats off to you good sir.

A-hem.

I'm not locking this thread yet because it's actually being used for it's purpose instead of arguing. Imagine that! It's not really your place to ask for a lock thomars, and unless people start fighting back and forth I won't lock it. Unless it's just one person, in which case warnings will be generously applied with a side helping of bans.

If you don't have a valid point to make don't attempt to make one. Now again (specifically at thomars this time...) on topic please and don't try to disrupt the thread.
