Well, at least Valve didn't KILL him. You never know that there may be an Aperture Science Space Station nearby...

If valve makes portal 3... they had better be careful. Portal 2 nearly 'killed it'. Zero G testing would be...interesting, to say the least. If you could portal to the moon, then Aperture has no excuse for not setting up a moon base. In fact, if they knew moon dust conducted portals, then why the hell were they so poor? They could have just put on a pressure suit, portaled in a vacuum room to moon, and scoop up as much dust as they need. Fools.

I was half expecting to see a combine space ship or something of the likes... valve really blew a HUGE way to tell a part of the Half Life/Portal story. Just seeing Earth from space could tell, (a dark side without city lights, etc.)

If Portal 3 was made, I'd picture it having a different main character. But I would bet it wouldn't be made until Half Life 3 was released.

As much as Valve seems to like thinking that they've finished off the Portal story, I doubt they'll be able to resist returning to it. Plus Steven Merchant already said he'd be willing to act again should they make another game, so prepare for ...

I think I've said this before but, to be brutally honest, I hope VALVe has the sense to not make a Portal 3. The story's ended! Let's face it, using the ASHPD in normal environments--cities, etc.--would be interesting but too hard to make puzzles for. And if they make a game that takes place back in Aperture Science they're just beating a dead horse. Yeah, it's great to keep playing new games, but there's a lot to be said for ending a series on a high note and letting it shine for the brilliance that it is.

I'd love to see Wheatley in more stuff though; general VALVe ads featuring him would be wonderful.

If portal 2 is going to have a sequal, I have a feeling that Chell probably isn't going to be the main character, she escaped... gg. Technically Rattman is still inside the facility and GLaDOS has hundreds of new test subjects, that were stored, then found by the robots in the coop campaign.

I agree that having a Portal 3 would probably ruin Portal 2, however if most people who played Portal 2 will buy it then it might go into production.

Side note: Honestly having Wheatley trapped in space is a bit harsh, also you would think that Aperture had some kind of space station orbiting earth / he would eventually wind up at some space station.

I remember hearing Steven Merchant saying he would be willing to do more voice acting if there was a Portal 3. Who know, maybe Wheatley was responsible for the Borealis disappearing. That would be hilarious.

I'd rather see that prequel concept they were working on, along with the F-STOP mechanic.

If they're going to make more portal puzzles they should keep it to DLC.

I think Valve may be working on something major. Remember that time when people protested outside the Valve building and they were brought in and given free stuff?

No mention of Half-Life 3... must mean they are working on Half-Life 3

Really? They haven't mentioned it for 3 years and I know that as of Portal 2's release, they hadn't even started work on it.

All I remember is two pieces of concept art and a quote that they wanted players to find it legitimately "scary".
(This is of course assuming you meant Episode 3)

Well, from what I heard, Valve was working on a deaf character that used sign language in HL3. Of course this could be just a rumor.

Episode 3 or Half-Life 3 could be regarded as the same thing. It continues the Half Life series!!

Valve also has a habit of reusing scraped ideas. (Ex. Borealis was originally going to be used for Freeman appear on instead of a train and heading toward City 17.) Perhaps F-Stop is the tech. on Borealis.
