Something I have been working on lately.
Especially that first shot looks awesome. Nice atmosphere.

My first attempt at the Old Aperture theme.Any suggestions? (It looks a bit empty at the moment.)
It looks a bit "cuby" for an Old Aperture map. I think it would look better if you used few half squares of the wall textures, randomized a bit more within reason(not just one square of a texture etc. )
The white block of portal surfaces also adds to this effect.
Other than that it looks fine if you're going to detail a bit more.
The first 2 tests are already taking shape nicely (click on the images for a larger version):
The model for the machine is not completely finished; it needs a higher resolution texture and some additional detailing. (And I'm not saying what it does yet. That will be a surprise!)
Let me know what you think!

Very nice looking but I have to ask... whats up with the mammogram machine?
That is a new testing element that I made up, and the central theme of the map pack. You'll see how it works when the first maps are finished!
Fortunately, (or unfortunately, depending on your point of view) it has nothing to do with mammograms whatsoever.
but that will be fixed. (Darker colour and more rust and dirt, mostly.)

Did you made this machine with brushwork or custom model?

My next map-pack consists of laser puzzles that deal more with cube physics and logic, rather than finding the right set-up.

I thought it was about time I prove I've been working on something. Several of these images are a bit out-dated, I'm still experimenting with lighting and details, and there aren't any indicators because they would get all messed up when I need to edit the brushes. Nice work! They look amazing. Keep it up. ![]()
The way you built the walls out of differently sized tiles looks nice too. Especially the dark ones, since there's some colour variety as well.

Thank you, that's what I was going for, so I hope it paid off.

I don't know where I go to get an answer to this. Sorry if its off topic but me and my friend want to play Portal 2 custom maps. I have a PC and he has MAC. Can anyone tell me if this is possible. We both have the map files, but when I type the map in the console it just shuts the lobby down and kicks my friend. Anybody help?
For future reference, go here next time for something like this. But since you're already here, whoever is playing as blue should type changelevel and then the map name in the developer console to play custom maps in co-op. Using the map command in co-op closes the server. Provided that both you and your partner have the map installed in the correct directories, a PC user can play custom maps with a Mac user.
Here's an updated version of a map I posted earlier:

I also have a question- I have an sp_lightboard_icons.txt in my mod (This is in Portal 2 so the level sign doesn't show the correct icons) but I can't get the level sign to light up. It just stays at that sort of grey color. What can I do to fix this?
