A clean, 2 part map of medium/hard difficulty.
Shouldn't require any ninja timing, or anal precision - but anything goes.

Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about the world portal draw distance (besides making the first half a little more compact than intended) but it won't interfere with gameplay.

If you'd like to record a wee video of your solution, I'd be interested to see it.

I'm stuck for now. I have the cube on the "outer button" of the double button system with the grid between them to make the exit appear. I then flung myself to the exit. Now I have a portal at the exit and one at that wall a few meters away from the double button system. Obviously I have to get the cube on the "inner button" now to open the exit - but because of all the fizzlers right now I can't see a way to get my portal in there without losing the second one at the exit. Will continue later on.

You're really close! I borrowed the mechanic from a map released not so long ago, but saying which would ruin it. You're stood in the right spot and really close to part 2 though. Focus on a way to portal the cube onto the caged button, without destroying your exit portal.
Like I say, you shouldn't require any ninja moves, anal timing or glitches

I was stuck at the same spot, too, but sicklebrick's hint solved it for me. Onto part 2.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHH! I FINALLY SOLVED IT after 2 hours, that first part took me around half hour, and second part took me around 1 and half hour. Jesus. Puzzles were really hard to figure out especially that one in the second part, I don't even know if it was intended.
Really good map, but design could be alot better, there were many visual bugs and so.

PS: Maybe I'll post a video how did I solved it, I think many people will need it and also I'm curious if I solved it in intended way.

Very nice map indeed! No wicked ninja tricks nor airborne portal manipulation necessary.

The hint for the first part was very helpful - as soon as I realized what you meant, it was obvious...

The second part was easier, it took me about 10 minutes.

I think I'll make a video too and upload it overnight, so it will be here in max. 12 hours.

Please make more!

Lol, you failed a bit in the second part. However, it looks very intended, as I have exactly the same, just without jumping around all the time.

My video is still uploading, give it 20 more minutes... (0.25 Mbit/s upload... )

Heh gj guys, pretty much as intended there!

Using the back wall to get the cube out of the world portal wasn't really intended, and could probably be fixed with a little trigger on the far side of the first part - but it's such a small part I don't think we have to worry about it.
I'd also considered giving the laser catcher a half second turoff delay to position the cube easier, but people seem to be managing just fine!

Edit:
Lol.. what the hell Mak.. no crosshair? Great way to improve your aim I guess,

Anyway, here's the intended solution;
it's probably a little easier than the ones already posted =)

Sorry, man... I'm enjoying your map with 4480x1200 pixels, and there is a bug in Portal 2 which won't let me enable the cross hair.

Jesus Christ... I didn't realise cards or monitors could handle that sorta resolution.. nevermind let you record it >.< Oh well, you seem to do fine without =)

Edit:
I thought it was probably worth mentioning that the last puzzle was borrowed from one of Jonatan's crazy monstrosities

Interesting use of the world portal. It was a small part of the puzzle, but it was good for throwing me off the solution for a bit. The second part was a pain in the butt, because I play with a wireless keyboard that has a really twitchy trackball. It's really not a good setup for gaming, but it's better than the PS3 controllers I would otherwise use. That's my problem, not yours. I knew what to do, it just took a few tries.

I'm not fond of the train station lavatory decor, but at least it's not just another clean style map. The AHA! moments in the puzzle keep this up at 4/5.

Hehe, it's no problem for today's graphics cards, but it looks wonderful.

My Setup is: Radeon HD 5850 + SoftTH (original site in German, translated to English using Google Translate) + 3 Monitors connected to the card (middle: 1920x1200, sides: 1280x1024). When using this card, you need an active Displayport->DVI adapter.

PS: If Google Translate does not satisfy you, feel free to contact me.

Heh, yeah, I considered a slight delay on that laser puzzle, but honestly, I expected that most people would just use a mouse!

Totally agree about the "Lavatory Decor" too, but I had one free day and I'm not so good with the prettification. Maybe next time I'll let someone have at it before release! Cheers for the nice score anyway

Lol, I have a similar setup (3x 1680x1024) but I've never tried stretching it over them all. I thought you just had an uber card and like a fucking massive monitor. Was feeling like I was using antique equipment here!

Hehehe, no extreme equipment needed, though it helps! You should give it a try - I would recommend turning your screens to pivot mode, it gives you a much nicer total aspect ratio. A friend of mine has exactly that setup, and it looks wonderful!

If you want a map tester, I would like to offer myself. I really like your style and I'm always curious for new maps I, however, do like the decor.

Great inventive thinking. Each of the two puzzles has a new concept for solving them. High kudos for thinking out-of-the-box. EXCELLENT. 5 Stars !!!

Decent map, kept me thinking for quite a while. The use of the world portal was nice, and was an interesting surprise when I pressed the button. Lots of emancipation grills, which is always fun when working a cube around, I liked it. The flicker effect on the lights was a nice touch too. The windows are a neat look.

Things that need work:
-Emancipation Grills (Much to thick, and taller ones you seem to have skinned the inside top of the lower ones rather than the outside bottom of the upper ones... just kinda looks funky)
-Emancipation Grill Emitters (They have an animation for on and off, makes it look real sharp when you use them with that kind of puzzle)
-X/Check Sign above the world portal (the X and Check Decals stick out from the frame, leave a blank behind them, using a prop_indicator_panel is an easier way of making one of these that has the x and check built in and use a simple "Check" "Uncheck" style of settings)
-Indicator Lights (You need to work on your method of lining them up, there are some youtube tutorials that can help and with a little practice it gets easy, the only advice I can give you is to look at their initial size and spacing and maintain that)
-The light in the room at the back (It's like 3 feet out from the wall, lol)
-The World Portal (The lighting on either side of it is different, causing that distinct line of shading when the world portal is active, kills the illusion for me, forcing me to realize it's there)
-The laser grids (Never used these, so I'm not sure on this one, but the second set looked like it was off center from the emitter)

Asthetic Choices:
These are really just more my oppinion, nothing really BAD about them, but I as a player was not thrilled.
-The lights (Weird choice for an area like this imo, but you kept them going through out so it wasn't that bad, just kinda weirded me out at first)
-The Emancipation Grill between puzzles (Seems weird to do it that way, most levels just put one inside the exit door from the first puzzle, again, not wrong, just felt weird.)

So in Conclusion, I'm giving you a 3/5, good puzzles, fun to play, but it does need quite a bit of work, keep at it and I'll be looking forward to your next level!

BTW, I'm using you as an example for a rant I'm making in the help and discussion, sorry in advance, and hope you don't mind too much.

Phew, I made it. I never officially looked at a solution vid, but I did need an unintentional hint found when reading this thread. I was so close on my own, I don't know why I couldn't figure out that last 5% of the final puzzle. Scumbag brain: Loves Portal; is crap at it. Anyway, nice little challenging map with innovative mechanics. Thanks.

Hehe,a little hint can jumpstart the thought process, it's not cheating ^^

Heh, cheers man. Was super interesting watching the thought process during the various puzzle elements... and you playing with the cube while thinking. I like the way you tackled the laser puzzle too - giving yourself lots of space to work with, nice approach

I just tried this level.
The world portals are a real headspin but a clever idea.
But I do not agree with the statement that no ninja moves are required.
Once the "outer" button is depressed to open the way through to exit room, the jump that is required seems to purely rely on ninja skills (the one at 0:47 in Dom44's video). First the portal placement is very precise, it's impossible to place it that close to the wall except from above, secondly it seems you have to run and jump into the hole to get enough momentum to convert to height, and finally I can't seem to make the leap from midair to the ledge. That's not a Portal puzzle, that's arcade skills - and the official game levels & DLC NEVER make you do that.
For that reason, I don't like the level. Still, thanks for making it.

Mine had a similar mechanic with a certain elevator sequence. I had plans to complete a multi-mapped version of that level, but my computer crashed and haven't been able to use Portal 2 since.

Thanks for this great little map.

Yeah I know ...too slow.

PS: I have another solution for the last part than Djinndraches ...but it works.

At the end. How to make the clip whick blocks the cube??? I need that for my map and cannot find the right texture. :/
