Map
SpamNugget_01
This is my first map for Portal 2, it involves gel, buttons and flinging. If you find any errors or have any comments or constructive criticsm, please email me at [email protected] VERSION LOG: V2-added elevators, observation rooms, cameras and otherr minor cosmetic details. Also fixed a couple of bugs, highlighted by Djinndrache in his you-tube video. (thanks for that) It is now necesary to complete both parts of the puzzle V2.1-added the material files so the custom sign shows up properly Enjoy!
Wheatley's Platforms
A minigame map where the two bots must jump between platforms to avoid Wheatley's attempts to kill them both by lowering them into the toxic goo. Also try to avoid the Discouragement Fields and Excursion Funnel or your game will be cut short. There is no end to the map, it simply serves as a contest between the two players to see who can survive for longer. The orange lights on the board signify platforms that are going to drop into the water. I added a couple of Wheatley lines to break up the gameplay but I couldn't get the scenes to work, so he doesn't move much.
One of everything
My entry for the Summer Mapping Initiative. It's a short half-playground-half-puzzle with multiple solutions that uses exactly one of every concept explored in Portal 2's testchambers: one excursion funnel, one hard light bridge, one each of the clean, destroyed, and semi-destroyed buttons, etc. And also what I like to call the "danger room" with every possible death in it waiting. Note: on some computers, the 3d skybox of the Wheatley test facility may not work, and there have been issues on dying and parenting in the past. These are unfixable as they appear to be client-side (bizzarely)
Aquillians United Test 00001
A short, but hard Singleplayer map, which uses some new gameplay concepts, like antigravity and Gel Juggling This is my second Portal 2 map, and is meant to be hard. Hope you enjoy it. If you don't like it, please tell me why so i can fix it, and make any later maps better
Cube Travel
Hello. This is my attempt at mapping for Portal 2 for the contest. I really wanted to try my hand at co-op since I'm not too interested in single-player mapping, plus I like the co-operative effort involved in solving a puzzle. Mine probably isn't too difficult (maybe not even), but hopefully people might find it to be interesting. Nothing new, really, but does require people to solve before they jump in, I suppose. Also, hopefully I uploaded everything properly. Two images: http://db.tt/qpauFUt http://db.tt/jn6sSXF Looking for some feedback before the deadline, so please help.
The cave
a cave map THE LAVA MATERIAL WAS NOT MADE BY ME how to play it: 1.copy mp_coop_cave.bsp to portal2/portal2/maps 2.when you and your friend in game, type in console: changelevel mp_coop_cave Dont know how to enable console? go to options then keyboard/mouse then enable the developer console (you will find a button)
Portal 2 Test - Laser and Funnel
Test of Portal 2 mapping pre-SDK.
Hub - Padlocks and Puzzles
Put the spheres into the sockets. Couldn't be simpler. Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly what to upload and am running short on time, so everything with a file name even remotely similar to my map is included in the .rar. I also unfortunately had to cut out one puzzle due to time. After the contest I'll be uploading a finished, revised version with fixed up puzzles. If you enjoy it, come back for a better version! (Also one without bugs, as I'm sure there will be a few.)
Rick Chambers Demo
Have you ever wondered what it would be like, if it were Rick running aperture? No? Well are you now? No? Well i did. I have built a map, sort of around an adventure style of gameplay, yet still involving Portals and Portal elements. Note, that this is not, actually a difficult, or long, chamber. It is just a test, to see how a facility, run by Rick, would look like. I know, that moving laser emitters is not a good idea, but it is needed for the map style. Please post some "Adventury" test element ideas, for possible new maps with this concept.
