Aperture may have gone to the dogs, but that doesn't mean there isn't science to be done. Navigate this simple yet challenging two-puzzle chamber to remind Glados that you don't need her to further humanity.

First time making a proper map for any game. This has 4 chambers and it was to help me understand how everything works. Not all puzzel elements have been used only some of the basics have been used. Not to sure on the lighting either, never had to do much lighting on other maps i used to play on CSS so this is somwhat of a first. I hope you have as much fun playing this as i did making it. O and please note, this probably needs a few more "indicators" but im sure you guys will figuare out where to go. Ok, so this map is based around a variation on the "clean Aperture" theme, which I call "Dark Aperture." It's basically the Enrichment Centre, with creepy lighting for atmosphere. For more detail on the map, see the readme file - ensure you read this BEFORE extracting the .rar file, as some files may be overwritten that would be very, very bad. Not unrecoverable, mind, but bad nonetheless. This map consists of "four" rooms, although really it can be hard to judge where one ends and one starts. But I call it four. Because I'm like that. It's not too hard, but it should provide some challenge. Funnels, light bridges, lasers, boxes 'n buttons... it's got 'em all. "The Enrichment Center once again reminds you to read the readme file BEFORE extraction. Failure to do this will result in an unsatisfactory mark on your testing record, followed by death." EDIT: VERSION 1.1 RELEASED, CHECK README FOR CHANGES! EDIT: VERSION 1.2 RELEASED, CHECK README FOR THE CHANGE!

My small test chamber for the mapping contest, designed in a post-Wheatley theme. My first idea for the contest was much more interesting, but also impossible, because the rules didn't allow custom scripts. So instead, I decided to simply improve the map I already was working on. I hope it's still entertaining, though I'm not sure about the difficulty, but it's surely not Nintendo Hard. No exotic game elements, just funnels, buttons and boxes. And a deadly laser field, guarded by a deadly turret. Bigger screenshot (contest1): http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/56091 ... CB7E9651E/ A quick note about the instances: I included many of Valve's original instances, because I'm using a different folder structure for easier navigation. But I also included only those instances that are actually used by this map. All content (except Valve's instances) is released as public domain, do whatever you wish to do with it. Version history: contest2: * Various small visual improvements * Added a new animation for GLaDOS on the screen * Fixed an unintended way to catch the first weighted cube * Replaced upgraded portal gun with the simple one and added a fixed portal below the funnel emitter contest1: * Initial release

Behold! These puzzles include a couple of original puzzle ideas! My third co-op map creation which I thoroughly enjoyed making it (even though I had an error for about half the time which was fixed by deleting a bad brush doh!). I'm not expecting much for releasing this but I wanted people to experience a different type of puzzles from the original Valve-like style ones. Also I would like for you judges to have fun Some screens of my map: Looking forward for your input guys, ChickenMobile Play instructions: Unzip the map from the archive and place in your Steam/steamapps/common/portal 2/portal2/maps folder. Make sure both you and your partner have downloaded it. Start a normal co-op game and whoever is hosting (the Blue Robot) type in "changelevel mp_coop_chickentest_3" in the console (which is activated by the ` key under ESC).

This is a medium - hard testchamber for a co-op team. The design is easy handled, but the correct solution isn't. You need to think outside the box to solve it!

My entry for the Summer Mapping Initiative. This includes two chambers using the new gel mechanics in Wheatley's style. First room is quite small and fairly easy. Second room is much larger and is a bit harder.

This is my entry to Summer Mapping Initiative. First room is all about lasers. As for second room, it's not impossible it's actually really easy. I just hope it's not too hard or too easy. It's big file because I didn't know how to optimize map small and now I don't have time. Good luck and have fun.
