my first time using hammer, my laptop started slowing down near the end so i didn't get the chance to check and make sure everything was airtight

First off, this is my first map. Now, before you click away, I assure you that this map is unlike almost every other first map. I put actual time and effort into making Basic Puzzles play well and look good. There are no gigarooms or terribly aligned textures. This map has rooms that fit the puzzles, great texturing, autosaves, and more. The goal of Basic Puzzles is for me to learn the ins and outs of Hammer. Every testing element will be used at least once. So far I have used: Flinging Light bridges Excursion Funnels Thermal Discouragment Beams At the moment, there is no exit elevator. This is because I will soon be adding more chambers, so it's pointless for me to make a new elevator after every update. Once the map is complete, I will add an exit elevator. Once you finish the 3rd chamber, the map is done. I would appreciate it if you would record your first playthrough so I can see where I can make improvements. Also, please rate this map what you think it deserves. Known Bugs: Texturing around doors is a bit wacky. Edges of glass lights are buggy.

Hi, This is going to be my very first game map. I have never made any game maps or anything related to 3D before. Most of you must have played the Peer Review DLC by now. I wanted to release this map before the DLC but I really didn't have time. Well better late than never. The map consists of 2 short and 1 medium length chambers. My map is very less detailed , about 1/10th detail of the maps made by pros here. There is a readme file included for setup instructions. Suggestions, criticisms, trapped areas, not intended solutions , and all other feedback are welcome. I may not have time to fix every minor issue but do specify if you found any(may help me in the future). Also this is the first time I am uploading something online for the public. So I need to know some answers fast even if you like my map or not. 1. Did I upload it right? 2. Does my map run? 3. Do the custom music and material work? Haven't worked on optimizations and will not unless really necessary. Known issues: 1. I am using instances/gameplay/animated_pushout_128.vmf instance provided by Valve. The problem is that when you portal and go through it you see some 'grid lines' on the panel. 2. Skybox cuts a little. 3. portal gun pedestal 'close floor' are black. WARNING! If you die, you have to exit out of the game and come back in. The elevator has a few problems but I hope I can fix it. Also at the end, once in the exit elevator, you have to exit out of the map yourself. Have fun and save the cube!

The Portal 2 Challenges are too easy? Here comes the first map of my Advanced Mappack for Portal 2. The Level Signs will be fixed, when all maps are released. Have fun! v1.1 -Fixed Transition Bug, by adding the script to the download, you should spawn in the elevator now. -Made it harder to get the cubes in Room 2 -Added security cameras.

To install add to "steamapps/common/portal 2/portal2/maps" folder To start in singleplayer type "map 4room" into the console. This is the 4Room, Made by GLADOSCUBE!(this map is not finish't and will not be finish't)

A "simple" underground map requiring you to travel to all four areas to proceed. Change log to 0.3: -improved lighting -fixed various "alternative solutions" (hopefully) -made various visual changes -added info_placement_helper entities -replaced "laser_catcher" models with "laser_catcher_center" -replaced "laser_emitter" model with "laser_emitter_center"
