Portal 2

Quadrilateral Part 1 [Concept]

This map is a concept of a set of maps that I may work on in the future. It introduces the concept of two pairs of portals. One pair is controlled by the player with the ASHPD, and the other pair is placed by the chamber through the use of portal frames. The player must use the combination of all four portals to achieve each chamber's goal. In this first chamber, the player is equipped with a disabled ASHPD. The test chamber spawns all four necessary portals when the appropriate triggers are activated. Above each frame is a number. This number represents which pair the portal belongs to. The only reason I provide the player with a disabled ASHPD is due to the fact that when Chell holds an object without the device, it looks so unrealistic. ;p Thanks Omnicoder for the Chamber Sign Maker!

Step into my nightmare This test chamber is based on a recurring dream of mine, and it will throw your mind through a loop. This is my second portal map. Feedback is welcome!

[JFTC] Painting with Gels (Test Chamber 02/48)

Hey guys! This is the second test chamber of "Journey for the Cake". This test chamber contains Gels, with the exception of Conversion Gel. (No Cleansing Gel too) NOTE: I made this map purely with Hammer (Authoring Tools). Just because the paint dropper is the one from PeTI doesn't mean that I made this with the Puzzle Maker, right? I'm just bored of using the standard underground paint dropper so I used the PeTI version. Size: Medium Difficulty: Medium Testing elements involved: -Repulsion Gel -Propulsion Gel -Turrets -Hard Light Bridges Improvements: -Autosaves -Lightings -Automatic door signs Enjoy! Please tell me what you think about this map! Comment! Remember to rate it too! Please post your blindruns/walkthroughs here so I know what to improve in my next map.

Advanced Conveyor Belt (Portal2)

This is how Valve made proper conveyor belts in the game section 'turret manufacturing' It consists of eighteen func_tracktrains, with individually attached prop_dynamic belt sections which move the player and objects. VMF and BSP are included for you to examine and edit any way you see fit. Hopefully this will help to explain how it was done, and how you can do it for yourself

Put the spheres into the sockets. Couldn't be simpler. Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly what to upload and am running short on time, so everything with a file name even remotely similar to my map is included in the .rar. I also unfortunately had to cut out one puzzle due to time. After the contest I'll be uploading a finished, revised version with fixed up puzzles. If you enjoy it, come back for a better version! (Also one without bugs, as I'm sure there will be a few.)

Positive Discouragement - Chamber 02

"Positive Discouragement" is a small map pack that I'm working on. I decided that I might as well upload this to TWP, instead of having it sit around on my computer until I finish all the maps, but I'm not going to upload it to the Workshop until they're all done. So for now, you'll have to do it the old-fashioned way! ====== This chamber was originally going to be the third chamber, however due to some redesign on the second chamber, I deemed this one less difficult, and moved it back into the #2 spot. (It isn't really that difficult anyway - it's just an intro to the laser chaining technique). At this point the facility is starting to become cleaner, so it's less destroyed than Chamber 1, but more destroyed than Chamber 3.

Elevator Videos Fixed - Brainstones Hardcoded Instances v1.1

EDIT(IMPORTANT:) I have just discovered (thanks to sleter) that the elevator videos behave differently AGAIN when your map is uploaded to the workshop. (Damn VALVE) The Problem is now fixed. I have also merged the arrival logic and the arrival base as I have merged the departure logic and the departure base; that was unfortunately a must because of the nature of this very annoying problem. Currently you can have entry_elevator_UP and exit_elevator_UP in your map. Entry_elevator_DOWN and exit-elevator_DOWN will be added shortly. You MUST redownload this instance, because your elevator video screens will always play the default video as soon as they are uploaded to the workshop. (Unless you delete the entity "video_script" inside your logic elevator instance. In my custom logic elevators, this is already the case, so you will probably have this problem only in your arrival elevator.) Thank you for your understanding. ---------------------------------- Aren't you tired of VALVE destroying elevator videos with the new DLC? Aren't you tired of editing scripts for map transitions? And then packing them into bsp, what doesn't work? Do you really expect every under-age-12 downloader to be smart and not lazy enough to copy several of your scripts in the right location of his PC? Do you want to display chapter titles? Do you sometimes wish to have free choice over whether your Portal Gun can shoot the orange Portal and whether it carries PoTAToeS or not? Do you want a map transition that works, when the player si not in the PeTI? All this is now accesible to you, thanks to Brainstone's Hardcoded Instance Collection --------------------------------------- 1. BrainstoneEntryTransition Delete the standard arrival_departure_transition for this to work. Possibilities to choose: $canShootOrangePortal $PortalgunHasNoPotatoe $chapterTitle $chapterSubtitle $chapterTitleColour (e.g. 255 100 255) $chapterSubtitleColour $EnableChapterTitle $EnableChapterSubtitle 2. BSHC_entry_elevator_UP $video 100% functioning 3. BSHC_exit_elevator_UP $video $newmapname $disablePTIVoteDiag (If you are playing in the PeTI AND want to vote, there is no other option than let the player click the "next map" button to create a transition. However, this always transitions the player to $newmapname when he plays not in PETI)
