Released
Gear_GravTech
We've released the final version of our concept! This is something we've been doing for a bout a solid week now, and things have progressed largely. We first got the idea from a a map named Logic_portals, made by Hurricaaane. We, however liked the idea, and wanted to do something a bit like it, but in a totally different way. And we ended up with this! Just press the button to see how it all works, and you can keep pressing it to change the grav field, enjoy!

Gear Portal Map
A Map From the Development Team Gear Hey everyone, we've been working for a month now on this little chamber filled with craziness. Hopefully you will enjoy and above all, have fun playing it!
Cassata Chamber 01
First level of a map series I plan to make. My first released level for Portal. A level with some rather unique and difficult challenges that force you to think differently. The map takes place in a standard chamber, assuming that Glados doesn't attempt to kill you and that you just continued through the test chambers. Edit: Tweaked final puzzle to hint how it's properly completed. Edit 2: Added portal bumpers to make placing portals easier. Added portal detectors and an escape chamber into the first puzzle room to allow escape if you get trapped. Edit 3: Fixed some escape chamber issues. Added HDR lighting. Added more portal bumpers into second to last puzzle chamber, making it easier to get into the room if you destroy your sphere. Recreated starting elevator ceiling to fix any no-draw issue. Please Note: This level has been played through and completed dozens of times by 3 different people including myself. The feeling of having cheated or exploited the map is generally intended for some parts of the map. My puzzles are specifically designed for players who feel they are capable of completing difficult (but logical) puzzles with as few obvious hints as possible. This usually leads to puzzles in which the only possible solution is to apparently "exploit" the map, as such the case in the last test chamber for this map.

First release map Place in your map folder
Poor Maitenance
Upkeep's a little lax around here... not alot of "get that thing over there" puzzles, but more kind of survive type puzzles i changed the map around a little due to complaints Extract to your steamid/portal/portal I included the texture pack you need to install to play this in the rar file.
Accident Prone (Oct. 07 Contest)
What happened to the previous Chamber 16? Three puzzle areas of moderate difficulty. This map was created for TWP's first map contest. To play, follow these directions: 1. Extract the archive from your [steamid]/portal/portal directory 2. Launch Portal 3. Click Bonus Maps 4. Select "Maps by Shmitz" 5. Select "Accident Prone" Revision History: 1.1.0 * Added clip brushes to stairs. * Moved autosave to top of stairs. * Added "signage" to final puzzle. * Adjusted second and third puzzle to remove unintended "jumping" solutions. * Various improvements related to the SDK update.
The Fall
Submission for Oct '07 contest. This map has 3 relatively easy puzzles, including a box/sphere puzzle, a ball catcher puzzle, and a flinging puzzle.
Observation Maze
A small maze type map. This is a fairly small maze map, but to beat it you'll have to do a bit more than just find the exit. Unzip the file in your portal root folder. The map will be accessible via the Bonus Maps menu. v1.1 - changed glass textures to make them more visible. - added a few arrows to make the exit more noticable. - added cubemaps
-deep within aperture-
3 test chambers in 1 map this is deep within the aperture complex. the test's here aren't hard, you just need to think good before you do somthing. -made for the mappingcontest october 2007- maybe there will come more versions of these harder puzzels
