Jumpingjack
My first map for Portal2, lots of try and error style mapping. This map is less puzzly but involves strafing and the right timing. Difficulty: medium There is also a hidden Companion-Cube! Hint: Look out for the red light and try to get there. If you manage to escort the Companion-Cube to the End and place it on the Button you will be rewarded! To install: Go to Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps and put the .bsp in there Start up Portal 2, start a multiplayer match, invite your friend, while connecting to the Hub or in the Hub, go into the console and write "changelevel mp_coop_jumpingjack" and have fun!
Cubiculous
That's my first Portal map that I've ever made. It's a rather easy map featuring a quite clean (but not totally clean) Aperture Science look. Took me 42 (!) hours to create it. I hope you will enjoy it. INSTALLATION: copy the file "sp_cubiculous.bsp" to ...\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps\ (just where all the other maps are) load the map by typing "map sp_cubiculous" into the console ... THAT'S IT !!! NOTE !!!: The map looks best on medium shader details (in my opinion) VMF: In the folder "vmf", you can find the original "sp_cubiculous.vmf" file and all instances I used. THANKS TO ZELLLIX for creating the puzzle in the right test chamber. All mapping was done by IMPAQUADE.
Madness_1
A middle difficulty map with portal paint and tbeams in a clean room Installation : -Extract the zip content to the "C:\program files\steam[Your steam account]\common\portal 2\portal2" folder. -Accept to replace, else, you'll not see the icons on the sign. -Run Portal 2, and type "map madness_1" in the developper console. Have fun !
Evolution #01
This map is the first map of the Evolution maps set. Each map will have one particular object. In this first map you will play with lasers. /!\ Difficult map. Chamber 17 [R2 - Second Release]
Chamber 17 [R2 - Second Release] Chamber 17 from the original Portal game reconstructed by Glados to incorporate new testing elements. Excursion funnels, Thermal Discouragement Beams and Panels. Because of the removal of the High Energy Pellet (which I hated anyway), I have had to change the configuration around abit. Its not a direct copy of Chamber 17 but is only just loosely based on it. --UPDATE-- This is the Second Release (r2) version of the map. It contains a much harder playthrough experience and refined mapping. R2 was release due to feedback from the TWP community. If you want an easier map download the latest version and omit 'r2' from the map command. I have incorporated most feedback; special thanks to: Kibate, SeriousMoh, xdiesp, mickyficky. I am aware there are still numerous graphical glitches. To fix I would have to spend alot of time completely remodling. I would rather put these new skills into creating a newer better map. Combine Ball Prefab
A prefab of the combine ball launcher and catcher. Big thanks to Omnicoder for this! I basically (with permission) pulled it straight out of his excellent "Retrospective" map, cleaned up the names, and made a prefab. This package contains 3 files: * combine_ball.vmf : The prefab vmf file * combine_ball.vpk : Dependency VPK file (stand-alone) * combine_ball.bsp : prefab test map (as .bsp) [b:39fh1lb7]Usage:[/b:39fh1lb7] Very simply, distribute the combine_ball.vpk file with your map, and it can be placed into the 'steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\addons' directory which Portal 2 loads on startup. Then, you can immediately copy-paste the prefab ball launcher & catcher. Alternatively, you can use the program GCFScape to extract the VPK file, combine these into your own files, and then create a new VPK file; this allows you to repackage the dependencies with your map. [b:39fh1lb7]Important note[/b:39fh1lb7]: You must use the .vpk file provided or create your own from these files. Simply copy-pasting the contents of the .vpk file into your portal2 directory (and not as a single .vpk in the addons directory) simply crashes the game from my experience. The identical files in a VPK then work without a problem. I haven't yet figured out why this is.
Improved FGD files
In these FGDs I removed a lot of unused HL2 stuff (like turrets). I improved standard settings of a lot of entities. For example env_projected_texture or env_energy_ball_launcher There are also some new entities, for example prop_exploding_futbol or prop_futbol. Installation instructions. before you opening the vmf files extract all the files to the folder: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\sdk_content\maps then you can open the vmf include my own instances, that didn't have there. i will add more useful instances.
