Portalgun Reskin
My fist portalgun reskin. Navigate to your Portal 2 game directory, located at: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\ Make a copy of the file pak01_dir. Extract files pak01_dir and materials to the aforementioned Portal 2 directory. Replace any files you may be warned about. My first Portal map! It's a single player map consisting of 4 quite easy, short chambers which should take about 15 minutes to complete. As .vpks are currently not working due to DLC pack, please extract all files to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2 In game press ` (to the left of 1) to open the console and type "map faith" to play the level. Once .vpks are working again I will release an update. Hope you enjoy, and any comments/feedback/recommendations please let me know in the topic link below. Chamber 2: The main puzzle has new geometry, so that cubes cannot fall between the gaps of the arms. v1.4: Chamber 1 and 2: Droppers fixed so that buttons only reset once the dropper is closed.
[SP] THE CORE: Portal 2 custom mini campaign
You are a test subject in the Aperture Science lab who winds up in another "puzzling" situation. You are also in a race against an ever wicked "test dungeon master" trying to make life hard and success a relative term. What's up with GLaDOS anyway ? Has she gone mad ? She had the cooperative testing initiative yet choses to let you break your heart and head over an inanimate companion testing element time and again. This is what you'll be getting: Solve 7 new maps full of puzzle elements Fully voiced GLaDOS by MissyChrissy (anglsummer4 on youtube) Companion elements (cube & sphere) Custom in-game media (video's and icons by TigerboyPT) Build 2.0: THE CORE RELOADED now live on the workshop! Due to the newer PTI integration, the "mod" version up to 1.1c will no longer work correctly, Therefor I recommend to not download the mod on this forum any longer but go to the following link: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/file ... =117081702 There, you can subscribe to all maps and they'll be automaticly downloaded to your game. This update to the campaign fixes numerous issues, updates visual layout and inclujdes workshop compatibility where you can vote on the individual maps. Hotfixed build 1.1c: May 2012 Because Valve updated Portal 2 with a new dlc, they changed some internal resource file requirements which broke the main menu of my mod. I fixed this for build 1.1c. No other fixes were made. Patch 1.1b: minor fix: Fixed GLaDOS announcement triggering multiple times in bonus map. Your sourcemods directory should now look like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\thecore\" with subdirs like bin, materials, models etc... If you have a previous installation, just overwrite everything with the new files. Restart steam for the mod to become visible in your games list. Uninstall notes: To elimitate every trace of my campaign from your portal2 dir, delete: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\thecore\" and restart steam.
Prison Escape
This is a small Singleplayer map. It was originally intended as a test, but I decided to release it. Maybe you like it! ^^ Put the .bik file to Steam\SteamApps\common\portal 2\portal2\media After that, put the .bsp file to Steam\SteamApps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps and start playing the map. Gelocity
This coop map is rather a race track than a puzzle. Use your portal gun cleverly to trick your opponent and be the first to reach the finish line! You will probably need a few laps until you know all tricks - so give it a second try and it will be smoother and more fun. Installation instructions: 1. Extract mp_coop_gelocity to your Portal 2 maps folder (...\SteamApps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps). 2. In Coop Hub open developer console and type "changelevel mp_coop_gelocity". 3. Race! Note: It takes a moment to paint the race track with propulsion gel. So if you experience performance issues, just wait a minute before starting. Special thanks to Nerzl for playtesting. sp_simulacra
Welcome to state of a dream... (Updated v3.1) Installing the sp_simulacra. 1) When you open the archive, there are two folders. One of them is "maps" and another one is "materials". 2)First copy content of the "maps" folder (there is only one file there - sp_simulacra.bsp) and paste it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps 3)Copy all texture files from "materials" folder and paste it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\materials 4) Run Portal 2, on console type this without quotes "map sp_simulacra" and press enter. About Simulacra: Gametype:Singleplayer. Genre/Theme: Abstract. Gameplay: Trial and death.
Automated Map Installer
Updates will resume in approximately 10 days, until then I will have no internet. Hello everyone! Portal 2 Map Installer is a compact program I wrote. It monitors My Documents/Portal 2 Map Installer and automatically installs any maps it finds there. It can also accept maps dragged onto the window. FEATURES: -Easy to use -Folder monitoring -Drag and drop support -Minimalistic user interface (prevents screen clutter) -Stay on top functionality (optional - disabled by default) -Run at startup functionality (optional - disabled by default) -Asks politely before overwriting files and makes a backup SUPPORTED MAP TYPES: -Just about all of the maps on this site -Archives: RAR, ZIP, 7Z -BSP, VMT, VTF, NUT, MDL, PHY and a whole lot more -Map, materials, textures, scripts, models etc... -Will keep folder architecture if valid -Can install maps with unsupported extensions if valid folder architecture is found. It is currently in BETA. I have tested it myself and found a few minor errors, but it is at a releasable stage. Please test it and let me know of any errors. Tutorial videos coming soon, should be pretty self explanatory though. Known errors: - Places unknown file types in: Steam>Steamapps>Common>Portal 2>Portal2>INVALID - Because of this you will probably often get messages asking you if you want to overwrite readme.txt - Does not correctly detect Portal 2 directory when it is not in Steam directory. (Does anyone know of a better registry key to use than HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and then adding SteamApps/common/portal 2?) Strubadur
This coop map features different themes, tricky puzzles and two levels with several testchambers. They contain shredders, crushers, and many of the portal 2 entities we know from the coop campaign. Flo´s 1. Coop-Map
This is a Portal 2 Map for 2 Player, it contains the use of Ligthbridges, Laser, Bounchegel, speed gel, and of course buttons and door. Its my first map this download version please give feedback, what i can make better in my next map. thanks, Flo2912
btmap1_rc
A single coop test chamber that requires at minimum 15(?) portals to complete. A coop partner who has completed both the single player and the coop initiative is recommended. Test chamber includes: aerial faith plate, button (untimed), redirection cube, hard light bridge, discouragement beam, and emancipation grids. When completed, the map sends you back to the Hub. (Or, it should) Installation instructions: 1. Create a folder in 'Portal 2\portal2\' called addons. *If you have the Sixense MotionPack DLC, you will most likely have to create the folder in 'Portal 2\portal2_sixense.' 2. Place your .VPK file inside the addons folder. 3. If Portal 2 was running during step 2, type the following in the console: update_addon_paths. Otherwise, skip to the next step. 4. To load a Co-op map, start a Co-op game with your friend, once you enter the hub type in console: changelevel mymap replace mymap with the name of your map. (EDIT: the name of the map is mp_coop_btmap1_rc should have specified earlier) (EDIT2: Added a readme file with basic information)
