Not technically a map but here's what I've been working on recently.

Modified off Female_01

Best part is, it's fully animated because of the valve biped anims for portal 1 someone made, plus it can (sort of) properly hold weapons, rather than them being shoved into the crotch.

Also I can take the body, retexture the skin part on the texture, and apply any female head onto it and use it as a test subject npc. Also I could easily make one that works for males, probably.

I was looking through old "incomplete" PeTI chambers of mine, which there is a LOT of, btw, and found one that could be converted into a single Portal map. So, I decided to rebuild it from scratch, make it apply only to one Portal, and detail it up properly.

I plan to actually complete this map this time around, too.

Here's what it looked like before hand:

After recreating it entirely:

Keep in mind, it's still heavily a WIP, though, but here's what I have for this chamber so far. The biggest problem is that I needed to redesign how the player gets the second cube entirely. I haven't worked on that portion of the chamber just yet, but I have plans for that. I've changed up a few things about the main chamber as well, the in-game editor is restrictive when it comes right down to things like solid walls. I could have used a laser grid, but this fits better, imo.

Amazing how some simple aesthetic changes can make a map so much..more...
Yes the puzzle and layout may be (almost) the same but I'd much rather spend my limited playtime in the second map compared to another PeTI map, like the first one... great work...

Thank you!
There is one last detail I want to fix this weekend and then it's done.

Re-using leftovers to make one better puzzle is a good strategy. My "A Beam Too Far" map is actually this
The "after" version looks very nice!

Some moss on the plant-less patch of floor in the middle of the room would look nice. Or maybe a small puddle somewhere.

Very nice!
Did you make those people in front of the whiteboard yourself? (The models, I mean.)

I can tell by the look on the cardboard guy's face that he has good cards.

The models are extracted from Half-life 2, but the textures (the white aperture clothes) are taken from... I think Portal: Prelude. I haven't tested Portal stories: Mel human models as they had walking animations (even though they were just prop_dynamic), but non the less, an interesting thing to mess around.
