Spore
Here is my evolutionary thingy. On accident I went carnivore and just went on from there.

And my totally awesome and strange creatures.

Basically you go from a RPG type game play style, to a RTS where you have to control your whole group and try to become the dominant life form.
So anyone else out there get this game yet, if so what are your thoughts
Also just to be totally awesome, heres my enterprise.

I am in USA, I got my copy early, Newegg owns.
At least my creations were saved, but I can't load them for an existing game. Oh well, I liked the Tribe-phase best so far anyway. The many editors are cool
too bad i dont have the money and i have exams in a few weeks... :/

I reached Civilisation-phase when the game crashed. I hadn't saved in a while, so I had to start from Creature-phase all over again![]()

Yep, but Im so used to saving all my games it is not a problem for me. I hate Auto saving games, wish I could turn it off.
.
It showed an 3D underwater stage and the guy playing said you could build cities underwater. Is this both gone?
Is Spore really what it looked like in the first place?

i never would have believed i would ever say this but: I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU PORTALFAN77!
i never rely on autosave. when playing portal (or any other game that allows you to easily save/load/etc) i hit the quick save button (often f5 for me, cuz thats where i move it) constantly. especially in games that stack more than one autosave (ie: hl2,portal,etc)

To this day, HL and HL2 having "Take a Screenshot" (F5) and "Quick Save" (F6) next to each other on the keyboard is endlessly annoying.
Doubly so because F5 is Quick Save in the Max Payne games.
I might post some screenshots later.
The thing that made me sad was that I tried to turn my tanks, airplanes and boats into a scorpion shape and then put all the guns on the end of the tail, because that's how my species was before I went tribal. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work. Not enough freedom, unfortunately. Closest I got was... Well I'll take screenshots of everything later.

which is why my hl2 games have F5 as Quick save, and F8 as quick load. and F12 as screenshot (quake1 default) everything is far enough and because of the F1-F4, F5-F8, F9-F12 seperated layout they are easy to find, and rarely (if ever) accidently hit on the wrong one
oh yeah. back on topic: Crap On Spore.

Have you actually played it? Even my brother loved it, and that whilst it's not even his 'kind' of game. True, the first four phases lack depth, but they're still fun to play and the space phase is just totally awesome. I managed to terraform a planet from T0 (unhospitable) to T2 (quite hospitable), and I'm at war with pigs.
Now.
Or else I'm gonna shove it right back down Wal-Mart's throat and demand a refund, because that was not mentioned on the box and I did not pay for that shit.

Make your own, you just need to trick the game into thinking you have it running
