Nighter's First Work
I kinda suck with the hammer editor, but I got something that works, and is almost exactly what I wanted. I've wanted to make this map since the first Portal, but never got around to it. Please no No-clipping or opening it in the editor, its not pretty. I will upload a play through video later after I sleep then go to school.
Ascendence
This is my first real mapping attempt, but it's a pretty ambitious project. Version history will explain what I'm demonstrating and what I'm looking for, as far as feedback and such go. v 1_1, uploaded 5-20-11 This is the entrance (which I know is lame and cheap, haven't worried myself over instances and elevators yet), the test situation introduction, and a way of clearing the chamber between "player delivery" and testing. There is no puzzle here yet, nor will there be until v 1_2 or 1_3. What I'm mostly showcasing is the trap door and the glass removal process. I'm looking for feedback on the entire process. Again, I know there's no puzzle here. It's just a big pit. That's why it's here in the WIP section. v1_1_3, uploaded 5-25-2011 Moderate change from last version, adding another element to the simple puzzle leading to the exit. This is the first map I've made for portal 2, (but not the first map in hammer by a long shot.) I'm still pretty amature, so be kind! I used my own style of recessed lighting instead of that featured in the game. I think it looks nice. Anyhow, this map is short but fun; shouldn't take you more than 5-10 minutes. Have fun!

I made some ramps out of 5 64x64 panels the ramp goes up by a height of 80Units. In the Download you can find 4 different types of the ramp.
Time Travel: Part Two
This is a continuation of my previous map.The first chamber is pretty much done. THE DOOR ON THE LEDGE IS THE END, FOR NOW. refrain from voting until finished if you would plase Rules of timetravel (In this map) 1. Portals do not persist through time 2. Objects can be brought back from the future, when placed in the immediate lit up zone 3. Objects cannot be taken to the future 4. Objects will persist through time, what is there in the past will be there in the future (For now, only in certain places that is goal-related as it's an butthole to code) Any suggestions or input, wel anything at all really is appreciated

Combine Ball Prefab
A prefab of the combine ball launcher and catcher. Big thanks to Omnicoder for this! I basically (with permission) pulled it straight out of his excellent "Retrospective" map, cleaned up the names, and made a prefab. This package contains 3 files: * combine_ball.vmf : The prefab vmf file * combine_ball.vpk : Dependency VPK file (stand-alone) * combine_ball.bsp : prefab test map (as .bsp) [b:39fh1lb7]Usage:[/b:39fh1lb7] Very simply, distribute the combine_ball.vpk file with your map, and it can be placed into the 'steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\addons' directory which Portal 2 loads on startup. Then, you can immediately copy-paste the prefab ball launcher & catcher. Alternatively, you can use the program GCFScape to extract the VPK file, combine these into your own files, and then create a new VPK file; this allows you to repackage the dependencies with your map. [b:39fh1lb7]Important note[/b:39fh1lb7]: You must use the .vpk file provided or create your own from these files. Simply copy-pasting the contents of the .vpk file into your portal2 directory (and not as a single .vpk in the addons directory) simply crashes the game from my experience. The identical files in a VPK then work without a problem. I haven't yet figured out why this is.

Co-op map set in an old aperture testing sphere. This map contains Lasers, Refractor cubes and Buttons.
