A proof-of-concept for a mirror. This map was an experiment of mine in which I was trying to create a mirror. Since the mirror textures provided are flawed, I took a different approach by using just a glass wall instead of a mirror, and placing an object on both sides of the mirror. I've also demonstrated a couple of cool tricks you can do with this setup. How I did it: Mirroring the box's movement was achieved with a clever setup using a logic_measure_movement and info_targets. The wall effect was created using an invisible func_clip_vphysics with a filter for the driver cube. The button effect was created by moving the func_door and box trigger of the button to the other side of the glass and changing the trigger filter. Much credit goes to HMW who pushed me in the right direction and helped with some of the trickier implementation details. Again, this is just a concept. I may or may not make a level of my own using this, but I encourage anyone who wants to to go ahead and do so (just cite where you got it from!). Once you figure it out, it's actually very simple and quick to implement. Also, I'd love to see what other interesting things can be done with this mirror setup, so I welcome any expansions on this idea.

Old Portal project was redone. Update as of July, 2009 -Added maps Chambers 03-04 -Edited Chambers 00-02 -Added a clip to the door in the Portal level change room in 02 -Made the Target Color of the box catcher to Blue -Added my Experiment map, blu_test_new_boxcatcher even tho I share test more stuff. I show off my Box catcher V2, My Magnets, and some odd device. Hi, Well its finally here. After almost a year of work and me working on Portal: Project Beta. I got 2 Playable maps done from my old project, Blue Portals. The first maps that I did last summer were it went from being too easy to really hard. Plus It was my first maps so of course, you got pretty bad framerates and all. . This version however is pretty easy. However to make it worth while, I experimented on my warm texture pack, lighting and fog. Other maps will be coming along. In future releases, I'll do 2 maps per update to keep it going and get feedback more quickly. . A Black Mesa themed Weighted Storage Cube skin. This is a skin for the Weighted Storage Cube. To install it, copy metal_box.vtf into your portal/materials/models/props/ folder. This skin was made using the incredible FREE tool Paint.net; you can download it at getpaint.net. Note: This skin is only for the Storage Cube; it won't affect the Companion Cube. There's a good chance I'll update this package soon with a matching WCC skin.

First level of a map series I plan to make. My first released level for Portal. A level with some rather unique and difficult challenges that force you to think differently. The map takes place in a standard chamber, assuming that Glados doesn't attempt to kill you and that you just continued through the test chambers. Edit: Tweaked final puzzle to hint how it's properly completed. Edit 2: Added portal bumpers to make placing portals easier. Added portal detectors and an escape chamber into the first puzzle room to allow escape if you get trapped. Edit 3: Fixed some escape chamber issues. Added HDR lighting. Added more portal bumpers into second to last puzzle chamber, making it easier to get into the room if you destroy your sphere. Recreated starting elevator ceiling to fix any no-draw issue. Please Note: This level has been played through and completed dozens of times by 3 different people including myself. The feeling of having cheated or exploited the map is generally intended for some parts of the map. My puzzles are specifically designed for players who feel they are capable of completing difficult (but logical) puzzles with as few obvious hints as possible. This usually leads to puzzles in which the only possible solution is to apparently "exploit" the map, as such the case in the last test chamber for this map.
