The map is focusing on jumping and "flinging". pl_fling -------- Portal Bonus-Map created by Clemens Description ----------- This is my first and probably only portal map. It may not be perfect, but I think it's very well tested and fun playing. The map is focusing on jumping and "flinging". It contains one or two ideas I haven't seen in other maps so far. I tried to make all the jumps very fair and not too difficult. Installation ------------ 1. Extract the files in the zip file 2. Run Portal 3. Import the bmz-file from the bonus map list 4. The map (pl_fling/pl_fling) appears in the list 5. You can delete the bmz-file now

Manic Mechanic - Portal map This is the release version of my Manic Mechanic Portal map. Many thanks to all the people a thinkingwithportals.com who reported bugs! TO INSTALL: open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\\portal (assuming the default installation path for Steam). Copy the directory named "portal" from this package into the game directory, replacing existing files. Start Portal and choose the "Bonus Maps" option. Double-click on the "HMW" folder, then double-click on the map icon to start playing. Licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3.0.

This is 3d Pictures of Portal First I really want to thank Filtzi for this awesome idea and for making the 3d pictures for Portal. I was stuck on this thing and wanted to have more 3D pictures, So I have learned how to make more thanks to him. Here is the 3D Portal pictures I made, They are not perfect, but it's good enough. I hope you will like them. What's new here and is not in the other one? First Map
A test of mapping practices This is the first map (Excluding the wake up chamber) of my planned map pack,which takes place in the Enrichment Center 4XE3. As my first real attempt (read: A map consisting of more than 'lulz a box an a buttonz!'), I'd like to know what I'm doing right and wrong, to make the rest of the maps develope quicker. It includes a BMZ for easy import, and challenges for least time, steps, and portals (Most of which are impossible, as this map won't have challenges in the final version.)

high quality MP3 for custom Portal maps As requested, I bumped up the transfer bit rate to 256kbps. I toyed with another idea involving reverse piano. Didn't like where it was going, so I ended up with this ambient mood instead. This one's a darker isolation piece than Chambre One.

My 1st Map - very sophisticated, detailed and hard ok, thats my first map, i ever made with hammer, CryoLab i startet in january 2008 with the first steps in creating a simple room and two buttons to learn and figure out how hammer works. this first room ist now the startroom. i had a plan of three big rooms, where you have to collect some infos to solve the puzzle in the 4th, the last room. but from february until end of may a had no time and enthusiasm to work on. in middel of june i started workin on the first big room and found out that if ill do all 4 big rooms, ill end up with work after <Holiday Name Here> 2008 :-) so i truncated the maps and decided to make only one big room. but during testing the map again and again, i invented new additional puzzels and the map grows. as a big fan of the puzzle adventures series MYST (riven, unleashed, aso), i wanted to put some similar puzzles into my map. so not every button and its function is directly guided through the indicator lines. finde out what button effects which door etc. as an homage on the myst series i included a small soundfile from the first myst-adventure as an loopable soundscape. i also edited four more soundscapes that enhance the atmosphere on several parts of the game. i like to play around with soundelements as you will hear. i used sony soundforge and many different soundpatterns, also some from halflife (combine intercom...) there are two glados like soundfiles, i made with melodyne, manipulating a text-to-speech soundfile made with atnt speech-generator homepage. i also created some new signs, "hint-displays" and the cryo-lab logo. the map is hard but able do be done :-) some of the testing guys got it till the end ;-) zoolook

My third muscial release re: title - Don't ask. Use this one to showcase larger puzzle areas with plenty of metal walls to boot. Use cement walls sparingly.
