Portal 2
Energy Flows
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... d=71634648 My first map. Its pretty short but tried to make it interesting. Please give it a try and let me know what you think. Thank you.
a little bit vegetation
Just a map i made with plants and such update v3 note: -Retextured the whole map -changed the lightning -plants and vines+ light in room before entering test chamber -made the lighning in first room a bit darker -plants and vines at where you encounter the first catcher -added reconstruction failed panels -sphere now auto-respawns and removed old panels and replaced with new one to push the sphere out at right time
ap_chamber1
My first portal 2 map. 2 puzzles: -first involves world portals and flinging -second involves a cube and a faith plate This is just for testing some of the new features and to see what the differences are from portal 1 mapping. To update: -Lighting needs to be improved everywhere, a lot. -refining texture placement -first puzzle is cramped, so i'll increase the size.
Secondary Fire: Enough Rest...
Full description and better reference images can be found on the Workshop here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... earchtext= Short description: This is a map that requires the player to only use the Secondary Fire of their Portal Device. Nothing more, nothing less. This chamber has two custom Field elements, both of which had their textures created by FourthReaper who you may remember from the Penrose maps. Overall these chambers are rather small, and rather simplistic, but do require a small amount of thinking in some areas. The last chamber is a map I uploaded to the collection a long time ago called Patience. The two fields are the Force Deflection Field, and the Matter Inquisition Field.
first time lucky (fixed!)
i have now fixed it and added more detail. includes backup which was most likely created by VIDE and will need custom files but the normal bsp should already have packed files. includes vmf incase you want to make this part of your map. if you make this part of your map, you will need TWPadvertising and you may need brainstones hardcoded instances. very simple. bug: the exit elevator video is paused, i dont know why. sorry if this ends suddenly, that was the easiest thing to do. i wanted to use the picture that is my desktop picture but it wont let me. sorry.
sp_prodigy_chamber1
This is the first part of a series to come and is still not finished. In-Game you will see that part "01" is complete. When you get back to the starting room and the portal to "02" is half-opened - then you're done! Here are some screenshots: http://dev.pro.digy.eu/wp-content/uploa ... _00001.jpg http://dev.pro.digy.eu/wp-content/uploa ... _00004.jpg http://dev.pro.digy.eu/wp-content/uploa ... _00006.jpg http://dev.pro.digy.eu/wp-content/uploa ... _00008.jpg These are partly outdated, but it's a preview, isn't it!? ! SPOILER WARNING ! Here is a walkthrough for you guys not making it to the end: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDqPnp6C_P8 Have fun playing!
Portal 2 prop_portal example
There is a problem in Portal 2 with making prop_portal initially Active: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... p=22416533 This example map shows how you can workaround that.
arrival_departure_transition_ents
My tweaked version of the stock arrival_departure_transition_ents.vmf instance that lets you change the opening title, subtitle, and end level on-screen text or disable them. After placing this in your map, open the properties of the instance to set the following options: $subtitle_boolean_toggle -Default value is 1 (0 disables) -Determines if the $chapter_subtitle is displayed at the start of a level $endtext_boolean_toggle -Default value is 1 (0 disables) -Determines if the $end_text is displayed at the end of a level $title_boolean_toggle -Default value is 1 (0 disables) -Determines if the $chapter_title is displayed at the start of a level $chapter_title -Default value is(without quotes) "chapter title here" -This is the text that is shown at the beginning of a level $departure_video -Default value is blank -Use this to add video to the exit elevator scene $chapter_subtitle -Default value is(without quotes) "subtitle title here" -This is the text that is shown at the beginning of a level under $chapter_title $end_text -Default value is(without quotes) "You Win Science!" -This is the text that is shown at the end of a level $arrival_video -Default value is blank -Use this to add video to the entry elevator scene
P2_Trickery [Fully working!]
This is a not-so-big map I made, it started out as a test to see what I could do in Portal 2 Authoring Tools (It's also my first map I ever made in Valve Hammer), it took me quite some time though and I've been a bit messy :p but I think it came out pretty well. I guess you could call it a WIP since I've been adding a lot of stuff to it. I know graphical glitches occur when more than 4 (world)portals are viewable, but I can't really fix that. I also know I don't have indicator lights, but those are a pain to place, believe me. Thanks for playing!
ML's Angry Hover Turret
This is my personal version of the scrapped Hover Turret that didn't make it in Portal 2. It floats in the air while tracking the player with a laser and has two turrets equipped that remain motionless (except when firing). The only way to destroy the turrets is to burn them with the laser, picking up the turrets will NOT work. To activate the Angry Hover Turret properly, trigger the logic_relay with a trigger or something. It is best to copy and paste the Angry Hover Turret rather than loading it as an instance. Known issues: 1)While trying to rotate the Angry Hover Turret, the func_tank that tracks the player may end up firing the laser in another direction. When this happens, simply rotate the func_tank (the clip box) 90, 180, 270, etc degrees until it lines up properly. This takes some trial and error testing but it's not a big deal. 2) When using the reflection cube with the Angry Hover Turrets laser beam, sometime the laser will not reflect in it's current position.
