Portals Through Time (Part 2) - Red Sky

Portals Through Time is a single-player series of puzzles built for Portal 2 and created in the Hammer engine over the course of 12 weeks. Players embody the main character, Chell, as she solves puzzles in test chambers created by the antagonist, GLaDOS. This series of chambers features the new mechanic of relative time travel. Players can go though a time machine entrance and exit out in another time and area of the chambers. The player starts in the present time period, where the chambers have fallen into decay and are overgrown with foliage. They must solve the test chamber by using mechanics still functioning in the past and bring them into the present.

My second finished map, yeah. Tricky and maybe hard. I made it in style of my previous map, but I tried to make it less hard. Don't forget to save every stage you clear or you'll get angry! Also portal placement requires a fine-tuning.

A "remake" of the Portal 1 trailer! The solution is obvious, I just wanted to do a remake of it. To install follow these directions: 1.Take the file from the archive. (crusher_trailermap.bsp) 2.Locate your maps folder (C:/Program Files (#)/Steam/steamapps/USERNAME/portal/portal/maps OR C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/USERNAME/portal/portal/maps 4.Drop the crusher_trailermap.bsp file into the maps folder 5.Open Portal If you have the console enabled already skip to step 10 6.Go to options 7.Go to keyboard options 8.Click advanced 9.Check "Enable Developer Console" 10.Press the tilde key (~) to open the console 11.In the console, type "map crusher_trailermap" 12.Enjoy the map! Sorry for the lag in the beginning, it dies down a few secs after the fire particle starts.

Hey guys! I'm making a set of 48 test chambers, this one being the first. The set is called "Journey for the Cake" as you will get cake upon completing all 48 test chambers. Just to let you know, "[JFTC]" is the abbrevation of "Journey for the Cake" This first test chamber is called "New Journey for Cake" Size: Small Difficulty: Easy-Medium (70%-30%) Some testing elements you can expect: Hard Light Bridge Goo Discouragement Redirection Cube Thermal Discouragement Beam (and its receptacle) Turret CAKE (Its not a lie) Read the readme inside the .rar file. Remember! If you don't really care about the elevator videos, don't bother about the "portal2_dlc2" folder. This is my second map made in Hammer (Authoring Tools). I have improved alot. Download it and let me know what I can improve further! Remember to rate it and have fun! Blindruns and walkthroughs are appreciated! For those of you having trouble on the map, WARNING! Press "show" only after you completed the test chamber
You're supposed to jump through the portal on the white portion of the floor where you're standing. You can shoot a portal there by going to the extended part of the floor with the railings. I purposely made the Goo hurt lesser and shallower to make it more easier.
(Yes, actual bridges made of real SUN LIGHT!) -Funnels. -That funky orange stuff, that makes you run ultra fast! Exited? What are you waiting for; GO! V01.0 - First release. V01.1 - Fixed some exploits.

two part maze that configures randomly This is my entry for the TWP April '08 mapping contest "innovation challenge." This is a 2-part maze where the configuration of each part is randomly selected in-game from two pools of presets. The first half is a traditional hedge-style maze that the player must navigate to obtain the portal gun. There are 14 different versions, which make up every major configuration that allows the player to access all areas of the hedge maze. They are all fairly easy. The second half uses portals to navigate between fence-enclosed chambers. There are 16 versions available, which make up only a small fraction of the possible configurations. For aesthetic reasons, they are fairly short; each should require the player to pass through a portal nine times. Of course if you get lost, you may have to use a few more than that. To help the player orient, number signs have been added to the four center chambers, and the exit has signs around it. I would rate them all as medium difficulty. At the end of the level, the map automatically restarts, leaving the player without the portal gun (for continuity sticklers, the player is rendered unconscious, and the gun is taken away.) Hopefully this will prompt players to play the map a couple of times and get the full benefit of randomization. There is no ending; it just keeps restarting until the player chooses to quit. And finally, just for fun, I set the music to pick randomly from eight of the calmer pieces from the original Portal.

This is the second installment of my Secondary Fire maps. This test chamber revolves around Propulsion Gel. Be sure to check out all my other "Secondary Fire" maps as they get released on the Steam Workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/file ... d=74481359 NOTE: The last chamber isn't difficult at all, however it was the first map I'd ever come up with for anything so I feel as though I had to put it in .
