[SP] Monoportal
Monoportal is a single-player level that revolves around combining more advanced test elements with the Single Portal Device. Monoportal consists of 8 chambers spread across 3 maps which, if I met my goal, begin quite easy and grow more difficult and complex as you progress. Part One: sp_monoportal1.bsp: Intro, Lasers, Light bridge Part Two: sp_monoportal2.bsp: Faith plate, Speed and bounce gels Part Three: sp_monoportal3.bsp: Turrets, Excursion funnel, Finale Federal regulations require me to thank you for playing, and to hope that you enjoy your experience! V3.95 10/02/11 Thanks for the 1500 downloads! I finally decided to block one slightly unintended solution. I added placement helpers that should give the bounce gel a 100% success rate (if you're doing it right). V3.9 Some final tweaks for now. V3.8 - Yet more and brighter lighting in gel and funnel room, as per viewer suggestion. Safeguarded against possibility of a portal dissappearing. 9/14/11 V3.5 - Tweaked some things, mainly regarding exploits in the final chamber. V3 - significant lighting improvements in chambers 4 and 7. v2.6 - Fine-tuned previous changes made to sp_monoportal3 including turrets and functionality (fixed a few placement helpers) v2 - Fixed exploit of being able to bypass faith plate, made minor visual tweaks, fixed various other errors 9/6/11 v1 - Original 9/5/11
[SP] Interception
Interception is a single-player map featuring a fairly challenging puzzle involving two clean-style chambers, funnel, laser, and light bridge. The puzzle is somewhat more difficult than the official Portal 2 puzzles. There should be 2-3 "AHA!" moments in the puzzle. The solution is not technically difficult to execute. If you find yourself frustrated or performing some stunt repeatedly, you should find an easier way. Remake of Interception with the Perpetual Testing Initiative http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... d=69323011 Major Updates: Version 1.2 fixed a potential scenario where the player can become trapped in a chamber. Version 1.5 added one more "AHA!" moment. Version 1.52 compiled with high dynamic range rendering effects. Version 1.57 added a Rattman den. Version 1.60 added a pool of toxic water. Needless to say, it has major spoiler for the puzzle. The walkthrough also reveals the location of the Rattman den. iC6gZABVU30
Test_03
Now, we don't want you trying your hand at test_03 unless you've completed test_01 and test_02 before hand. And looking at your file here you've... well, the lab boys say it's okay. Give it a shot! What's the worst that could happen? I hear this one has a surprise ending too. Those lab boys don't like surprises, but I don't like their egg shaped heads. Let's show those white-coated nerds what a good surprise can do for a man!
Ball Maze
I only had about 4 days to work on this, but hopefully I removed most of the bugs and it works. Ball maze, faith plates and a new concept for laser and excursion funnel.
Underground 01
A map with Repulsion and Propulsion gels. My first Portal 2 map. Simpli
I was playing around with the Alien Swarm way of making Portal 2 maps, but now that the Portal 2 SDK beta is out, I decided to actually make something that worked as a proper chamber. So here's my first actual map that I've made with Hammer and actually finished. It's nothing overly special, and the puzzles within it aren't really difficult, but I used it to get a bit more familiar the editor, and hopefully make better maps in the future. UPDATE: Since we've been requested to change the uploads into zip files, I decided to also make some suggested changes to the map. Not everything managed to get done in time, but I've fixed a few of the things that came up, and changed how the second part of the puzzle works.
Cube Collector
Ok there are 4 test chambers in this map. You got cubes from each chamber to combine them in a laser puzzle and solve. This is easy and short to say but i die in this map a lot of time. I?m shure you have to think a moment how to get the cubes out of the chambers. No trick, cheat or secrets to find, just logic thinking... a lot of logic thinking. But don?t be silly by thinking, because you have to jump with faith plates and beams or use lightwalls and using paints, so you have to do many things^^. One thing i?m sorry. Once The cube in test chamber 3 stopped as i play because of some wired places (corners). I think it could happen in your gaming, but just reset the cube, it?s easy. And please write....
[SP] Loud Pipes
Loud Pipes is an Old Aperture-style single-player map that features two major chambers that heavily revolve around the use of repulsion and propulsion gel and their interaction with cubes, light bridges, laser fields, and moving platforms. The map?s difficulty ranges from easy to medium/hard. Screenshots: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/54177 ... 6F9F4A356/ http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/54177 ... DE459D8D7/ http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/54177 ... 324CDF62A/ Updated to v.1.2. -Fixed an exploit with the light bridge -Repaired a cubemap error that was giving the observation room an odd effect -Shifted some of the white walls around in chamber two to prevent exploits -Made it easier to jump back from the moving platform Also, if any of you designers out there are interested in the design process of this map or the aesthetic technique of any Old Aperture map, I've written a small tutorial about it over in Rubrica's aesthetic thread. Check it out if it interests you! mapping-help/on-the-aesthetic-themes-in-portal-2-v0-9-1-t4257.html Leave feedback or feel free to reach me (contacts in the readme) once you finish the map. Thank you!
[SP] Time Arch
This next test may contain trace amounts of time travel. Use the Apeture Science Quantum Time Arch to travel to the future to retrieve the cube needed to solve the test
