One in the Chamber is a single player map built specifically for the ThinkingWithPortals.com Summer Mapping Initiative. The name "One in the Chamber" refers to the amount of cubes available to complete the chamber. The map is built with the Destroyed Aperture theme in mind, and contains two puzzle rooms, as well as an introductory corridor. The difficulty level has been kept low to medium, to allow players a challenge without wanting to pound there fist into their monitors. All mappers feel free to rifle through the .vmf for fog/lighting settings, and the likes, as well as to learn how I put the level together. filename: sp_1_inthechamber.bsp Screenshot: http://interlopers.net/titan/sp_1_inthechamber0003.jpg KrispyTheKorn aka, IZaNaGI Update: Re-uploaded with missing readme file. Update 2: Fixed an issue allowing players to complete the final room in an unintended fashion. Added "info_placement_helper" entity's to some white surfaces as per player feedback. Replaced an errant "cool" light instance with a "warm" instance. Update 3: Fixed "black" textured surfaces so that they are no longer portalable (if that's even a word ... which it isn't).

This chamber tests how well subjects react to a wide variety of testing elements. Subjects with variety based phobias will be offered physiological counseling after the test in the form of simulated conversation with the elderly.

Imaginative name I know... I was pushed for time and kinda rushed the very last part, but apart from that it's all done.

Short 5 part puzzle that comes in two maps only because the first map starting getting a bit complicated. I will probably continue adding onto this map and making more puzzles maybe even make a full portal 2 mod that uses these gravity changes for most of the game.

Hey, This is a test chamber I'm working on for the Summer Mapping Initiative. I'll be updating it up until the contest deadline; if people want to give me feedback on it, try to break it, etc. I'd appreciate it! Also, if you know how to use the record demo console command in Portal 2 and want to send me the demo of your playthrough, that would be extra-useful as I want to see how people approach solving stuff. Changelog: v0.1 - first version of map v0.2 - made stairway on third level more noticeable, added convenience for returning to lower levels from the end if cube needs to be repositioned, added foliage, made water at base of testchamber transparent, various minor graphical tweaks, added glados line v0.3 - fixed portal alignment issue at top of chamber, fixed brushes that could have interfered with box dropper entities, lowered box dropper and made box target into convex displacement map to reduce the likelihood of it bouncing away v0.4 - put invis collision around top of drop from upper light bridge panel & adjusted platform spacing to prevent a way to break the puzzle; made final light bridge panel hidden until the player presses a button on the upper balcony, changed voices and music trigger timing, added another convenience portalable surface and closed off an unnecessary stairway to vary movement/pacing, various visual changes w/ ruined structures, foliage, fog settings and pfx v0.5 - made some more gameplay alterations to make movement through the chamber more interesting, improved lighting, updated vo, sound, and transition entities, did some optimization, added more func_details and props, pfx, etc.

Designed for Danger is a Portal 2 Campaign that offers eight new levels and 1 to 2 hours of play time. In the campaign, you assume the role of Chell during an early part of Portal 2. This time however, things turn out differently. The actions of a rogue force will set you on a new path through Aperture Laboratories. Watch your step and prepare for adventure! [RELEASE] This is my first Portal 2 custom map (pre-SDK). The map is pretty big, the challenges are just medium, I had to teach (introduce) some trick since they were not needed in single player. Its a fun map, no hard flings or aerial parts, but I promise, my next map will be for the hardcore gamers. This map was made just a few week after Portal 2 release, 2010. May, with modified Alien Swarm SDK, and I recompiled later with the official Authoring Tools... Pls report missing/misplaced textures, bad lights, errors/bugs/exploits, or any fun idea that I can include in my future maps... if the idea is good, I 'll implement it. Known bugs: - Laser cube floating when other cube got removed from under, but thats a Portal 2 bug. - Fixed some texture / prop and gelroom cube now autorespawns - Added lightpanels and skybox You can also download the hammer source .vmf from here

A 3 part testchamber, fairly difficult. Submitted for the 2011 Summer Mapping Initiative Reuploaded for a "Post-competition" release. By Todarac EDIT: I have revised the map for the "post-contest" release. The map I released for the contest felt a tad unpolished, and incomplete. So i've gone back through the map and changed some things around. I consider this the "Official" release. -Removed the .vmf from the zip file (Sorry guys, it was only for the competition). -Overall lighting is much better -The jumping-tower bit in the 1st test chamber now has actual panels that come out of the wall. -You now HAVE to fling on the jumping-tower in the 1st test chamber. -Observation rooms have been added throughout the chamber. -Chamber 2 has been changed the most -The old world portals have been removed, and new ones added along with a new puzzle in chamber 2. (Its still kind of easy) -Chamber 3 is virtually untouched because it is quite perfect.
