Sp The Part Where V1.1
Contest submission for the 2012 Heavy-duty super-mapping super-contest. ?The Part Where? is a large map made with the collaborative efforts of GLaDOS CUBE and Another Bad Pun. The map offers 25-40 minutes of exploration, puzzle solving, and most importantly, science. You play as one of the coop bots being tested by Wheatley in the torn apart labs of ?Wheatley Laboratories?. Use your wide robotic mindset of puzzle solving techniques, and most importantly, your sense of artificial pain to solve the test in a fashion that even GlaDOS would be proud of. Can you conquer this conundrum? Can you find all of the pony-related easter eggs? Are you up for the challenge? Only one way to find out? Chander Test 3
Changed the Laser Relay puzzle
Aperture Science Laser Test
This is map number 2 in my serie "Aperture Science Test" This one is a little bit short. But i hope the puzzle is just a little hard. You can request a solution if you need it. I learned a lot from making this map. Thats why it got so short. I used some different stuff in it.
Out Of Reach
This is my second attempt map making. It is a medium difficulty map with lasers, cubes and funnels. I hope you enjoy the map and please report any bugs you encounter! Map updated! Again! - Removed the shortcut - Some visual updates
The Test
A two-room map featuring a few different puzzle elements. This is, essentially version 0.3. I want to add more decorations, but I'm looking for feedback on what I've got so far. I intend to add more puzzle elements to the second puzzle room. I just wanted to get this out there to see if people think I'm on the right track. I've included both the bsp and the vmf. [Edit] I had used a hacked version of the arrival_departure_transition_ents which might have caused some problems. I've switched over to msleeper's version, which works much better, and is available here: Good Enough For Science (Instance Example + VMF) Added a few more puzzle elements, and switched to animerunt's transitions instance: arrival_departure_transition_ents O
Overgrown Renaissance Pack
A large collection of assets created for the Portal: Divinity mod and publicly released to be used to create new and exciting takes on the overgrown style. Credit as Nuclear Shill.
Failure Snowy's Instant Detail Instances
For now, a xtx until I have time to do this right.
(Instances) Extra Elevator Instances
This is my first time uploading a file to thinkingwithportals. If I forgot anything, let me know. You ever look inside the turbine_elevator folder in the instances folder and browse through the elevator vmfs. To find that for the departure elevators, Valve only has the fixed one going up and the destructed one going down? What if you are making an overgrown style map but want your exit elevator to go up? This is where this comes in. Supplied in the zip archive, you will find 2 extra elevator bases. One that is destructed and goes up and one that is fixed and goes down.
A Simple Test
This is a really simple map which I made mostly to test out the clean style, clipping walls, and Brainstone's Elevators. If you want to see Brainstone's Elevators: community-releases/elevator-videos-fixed-brainstones-hardcoded-instances-t6705.html
